Tippy Taste March 2015 - Box

Tippy Taste is a monthly jewelry subscription box dedicated to featuring modern and chic pieces. Every month, they send you handpicked pieces to your door. They also have a “subscriber-curated” online store that features only items subscribers provide feedback about loving. They have 2 different plans: a plan for 2 pieces a month, and a plan for 3 pieces a month.

This is a review of the 2-piece plan. This box was sent to us for review purposes.

Tippy Taste March 2015 - info

Tippy Taste also includes an info sheet, describing and valuing each item featured.

Tippy Taste March 2015 - Items 1

Floating On Ice Necklace – value: $18

I love this necklace! I’m not generally one for gold jewelry, but this necklace is just so pretty and I like the thin, dainty style. I feel like you can dress it up, or dress it down and have it be a classy touch to an outfit.

Tippy Taste March 2015 - items 2

Petite Snowball Bracelet – value: $15

The info card recommends adding this bracelet to a stack, but personally I love the simplicity of it by itself. I think it’s really classy and compliments the necklace well into a great set.

The Verdict: I liked this delivery of Tippy Taste! The style of these pieces work well for me, so I know I’ll wear them. I do hope that I’ll see more silver jewelry from them, though. Their shop definitely has a majority of gold pieces. As far as value goes, the pieces add up to $33, which I’m happy with for a $20 box.

What do you think about Tippy Taste?

I just got their April box and love it! The quality is great and I got to choose the jewelry that I want. Other jewelry subscriptions seem to only carry big statement jewelry so I am glad I found tippytaste since I only like dainty pieces. Thinking about getting these two pieces since they sell their past boxes on their website.

Thought I will share something about my story. I signed up with tippy taste in February because I really love the necklace that month. However, I never received my box (maybe it got lost by USPS). So I emailed their customer service and they responded right away. They apologized and said that they will resend a new box to me but the necklace that I really want was out of stocked. So i had to pick a replacement from their past boxes. No biggie, since i know things like this goes out of stock fast. But to my surprise they emailed me again saying they got the necklace, and when I got my box they included (in addition) the replacement that I chose and a handwritten card apologizing. Because of their customer service, I am definitely staying with them.

I have been with Tippy Taste since January and they are by far one of my favorite jewelry subscription service. I’ve tried many jewelry subscription service and I like that this one allows me to pick the pieces that I want every month. I think the quality of their costume pieces I have received so far is great for a $20+ box. Their shipping is fast too, usually I get my box in the first week of the month.

I received the February and March boxes from tippy taste. While I loved February, I was absolutely appalled by the March box. The March pieces are what I would expect to get out of a twenty five cent machine at the grocery store. I’ve tried a few jewelry subscriptions, and the quality of this one is just so much lower than that of the others. Yes, the price point is lower too, but $10 per piece does not justify the terrible quality they sent out this month. I have subscribed to many, many subscription boxes over the past three years, and this was my biggest disappointment to date. I never complain about the boxes I receive- they are fun ways to spend excess cash. This one, however, was just such a slap in the face, I feel like I have to warn others. I have read only positive reviews of this box, and wish someone had explained the quality of the pieces before I purchased it.

Those are both really pretty! I think this is the best jewelry subscription box I’ve seen thus far.

Those are pretty. I checked out their store and only saw a few pieces I like (including both of the ones you received). Is the store a representative of everything that they have to ship out, or just the fan favorites? Since you mentioned it was a fan curated shop. Also, do you receive the things you pick/favorite or are they just used as a base of the things you’d get? If you get what you pick, I’d def sign up and get the two main pieces I loved in the shop and then be surprised the next couple of months.

Pretty pieces. – What I would really like to a see a box come up with is a non costume jewelry box. Of course the price point would be higher, yet then I would not have to email the box company to see if a piece has nickle or plastic in it. – Looking for more of a designer high end jewelry subscription box. With real sterling silver. – Seems like boxes are full of costume jewelry. I know its cheaper, yet hoping someone will come up with a high end, high quality box even if its quarterly.
