Thank You Crate March 2015 - box

Thank You Crate is a stationery subscription that’s “on a mission to give you the power of a handwritten thank you.” Every month, they send you a delivery of curated thank you cards, envelopes, and stamps included.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes)

I need to also point out that my package apparently arrived at the post office unsealed. It’s nice that they close it for me before sending it the rest of the way to me, and all the contents were there, but it’s something worth mentioning.

Thank You Crate March 2015 - Items 1

Thank You Cards, set of 4 with envelopes from Seraph Stationery

Here are the Thank You cards they sent me this month. It’s a very simple and minimalistic design which, fortunately, I happen to like. All four cards are the same design. They’re blank inside, so I’m able to write as long or short a note as I want. According to the stamp on the back I found the URL of the store that made them, but their site links are either broken or under maintenance so I’m not able to see how much these specific cards sell for straight from them.

The Verdict: Unfortunately, I have to say that I’m slightly underwhelmed with my first Thank You Crate. I know accidents happen, so I can overlook the envelope not being sealed this once since all the contents and everything still made it to me. Also, I love when stationery subscriptions include stamps. Unfortunately, I just can’t see the value here, with a set of 4 thank you cards for $20. Personally, I think I’d probably prefer to go to Target or something and get a pack of 50 really cute Thank You cards for $12-$18.

What do you think about Thank You Crate?

You can find cuter Thank You cards in the Target ‘Dollar Spot’ or at the Dollar Tree. LOL

I’ve been reading the stationary reviews for a while, because I still like writing the hand written thank you cards. I try not to use value when deciding if a box is for me, yet 4 Thank you cards for $20 is way to high of a price for me to even consider subscribing. $15 maybe yet not $20. $20 I would expect at the very least or 6 cards, and some stickers for the envelopes maybe even some stamps – not 4 cards. This is a niche market, since there are a lot of people that don’t write cards any more and prefer emails. So I’m a bit surprised by the price and the items. I agree with Mary that Rifle Paper would start a sub! I’d sign up for that one.

Agreed. Not enough value here. I wish Rifle Paper would start a sub!

That would be amazing!

I agree with you. If each card were different it would add a little more value, to me anyway. I make my own cards and sell them for $4 each and a lot more thought goes into them then went into this subscription it seems.

You make your own, that’s really cool! Is there anywhere we can see/purchase the ones you make?
