Orange Glad Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Brochure 2

OrangeGlad included a brochure that details the items included in the box and provides information about the month’s featured bakeries. This is a change from the card they normally send. I like the new brochure, and I think it’s nice to have a little bit more information about what’s in the box and where it comes from.

Orange Glad Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Biscuit

Simply Good Chocolate Chip Biscuits by A Couple of Squares (1.1 oz)- value approximately $1.20

These cookies were crisp, crunchy, reminiscent of shortbread, and SO buttery! I think this is a great twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie.

Orange Glad Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Toffee

Almond Toffee by Toffee Talk (2 oz)- value $6

One of my favorite things about OrangeGlad is the packaging. Their own packaging is great, but the items they feature very often have interesting packaging, too. This toffee is a great example- the bow is so cute! Toffee is a favorite of mine, and this was delicious. I love the combination of rich toffee, semi-sweet chocolate, and almonds.

Orange Glad Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Cocoa

Hot Cocoa Cookies by Zesty Cookie Company (1.8 oz)- value approximately $2.33

These Hot Cocoa Cookies are made with cayenne. I love spicy chocolate, so I was very excited to try these. The flavor was excellent, and I thought there was a perfect amount of spice. Unfortunately, though, I wasn’t crazy about the texture of the cookie. I was expecting it to be soft, but it had a dry, crumbly texture that didn’t really work for me.

Orange Glad Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Brownie

Original Brownie by Fairytale Brownies (3 oz)- value $2.66

This was a fantastic brownie. It was somehow fudgy and light at the same time, and the flavor was very chocolaty. It might be the best pre-packaged brownie I’ve ever had.

Orange Glad Subscription Box Review – April 2015 Quinn

Dreams Come Chew by Quin (.5 oz)- value $2.75

I’ve sampled Quin candies before, and I’m a big fan. These fruity chews are new to me, though. The flavors are: cherry, strawberry, tangerine, and lemon. Sadly, my packet only contained lemon and strawberry. I loved them, though, and I’m considering buying some more just so I can try all of the flavors!

Verdict: I really look forward to OrangeGlad’s Sweet Box every month. I think the curation is excellent, and I enjoy trying baked goods from across the country. This month, the value totals approximately $15, which is pretty typical for OrangeGlad and not great for the $21.95 monthly rate. However, if you use the coupon code mothersday40s to save 40% off your 6-month subscription, it brings the per-box cost down to only $11.97- a much better deal!

Well if you have the extra review help, could you review plvshstyle? I’ve been dying to see a review for a long time.

I love opening food boxes with my sweetheart, but the value just isn’t there with Orange Glad. I can’t decide whether to take the 6 month leap with the 40% off code or not. Hmm… Discount or not, that’s still a lot of money to spend at once for a not-so-epic subscription.

I think March was my favorite box to date, it was gone like instantly. It seemed to take forever for April’s box to get here, which is also very good. Those Quin candies have been in Treatsie a lot too. I was excited to try the hot cocoa cookies, but there was too much heat to them for me. The brownie is the most amazing thing I’ve ever had. It’s soooooo soft and fudgy, just melts in your mouth. I have two subs going right now, but one sub ended this month and the other ends next month. So I resubbed with the 40% off coupon for a 6 month plan, which should take me through to November and get the black Friday deal again. This is my favorite sub box, I love sweets, it’s always a surprise when I get it, and the packaging is fantastic. I loved the new brochure, detailing a little about each bakery.

I am excited to receive my first box. I used the 40% off code last week to order a 3 month subscription for DOUBLE treats. We are a family of 8 so I figured we could each get a tiny try with the double treats box. It worked out to $19.77 a month for two of each item which makes is $9.89 a box & that works for me. I usually buy our treats for much less than $2 a serving at Costco but to get a treat box for my kids in the mail will be worth the extra cost.
