New England Sack March 2015 - info

Every New England Sack box comes with a wax-sealed, folded information card that lists each item and offer details about the companies and location where each item is produced. This month, all the items are from Vermont!

New England Sack March 2015 - items 1

Support Local Bumper Sticker/Decal – value: $3

This decal is also included as one of the featured items – at first I thought it was an extra. One thing I like about this decal is that it works for anyone, anywhere!

New England Sack March 2015 - items 2

Vermont Creamy Peanut Butter – 16 oz, value: $4.95

Big Picture Farm Farmstead Goat Milk Caramels in Sea Salt & Bourbon Vanilla - 3.2 oz, value: $10

Sometimes it’s hard for me to find all-natural peanut butters that aren’t super oily or require a lot of stirring. This Vermont Peanut Butter is the perfect consistency and has great ingredients! This was a win for me.

To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of solid pieces of caramels, so these will be passed along to a friend! I do love that they’re made in small-batch from free-range goat milk, though!

New England Sack March 2015 - items 3

Way Out Wax Sweet Dreams Candle Tin – 3 oz, value: $7.99

Hot Glass Works Glass Coin – value: $5.99

I love when subscription boxes include candles! This one is made with GMO-free soy wax, an unbleached cotton/hemp wick, and has essential oils of lavender, lemongrass, and marjoram. It smells wonderful.

This glass coin is a pretty cute decorative item, and would look great hung on a window, or anywhere, really.

The Verdict: I really liked this New England Sack, and I know I’ll use everything but the caramels, which I know someone else will love anyway. Everything adds up to $31.93, so I wish there would have been some more value/a couple more items included.

What do you think about the New England Sack?

It’s a shame, but they are not taking orders at this time. The Vermont sack was fun, it was given as a gift and we were really looking forward to supporting these guys in the future!

All we can see right now is the following text, and it looks like they did not renew their security cert either. 🙁
“New England Sack would like to Thank you for your support this past year. At this point in time we will be not receiving any further orders due to circumstances beyond our control. We will reach out if and when we begin our subscriptions again.”

My 6 year old helped me open the package. He was excited to see the peanut butter and wanted a sandwich right away. My sister loves the caramels.

Haley – Did you receive a couple of pieces of Champlain Chocolates? We ate ours as we opened the box. Yummy!

Vermont is my favorite state 🙂

Haley, I know a trick to help with natural peanut butters that need stirring! When you get it home, turn the jar upside down for a day or so before you open it. Saves so much trouble! I learned this from a house guest 🙂
