Marvel Collector Corps Subscription Box Review – April 2015
After months of waiting, the first Marvel Collector Corps subscription box has finally arrived!
The packaging of this box is fantastic! This is the first thing you see when you open the box. The patch and pin are attached to the first cardboard flap. And here is the awesome comic book art lining the box:
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process postto learn more about how we review boxes.)
The Subscription Box: Marvel Collector Corps
The Price: $25 a box plus $6.95 shipping (boxes ship every other month)
The Products: Each box includes exclusive collectible product created by Marvel & Funko including apparel, collectibles and accessories worth $50.
Shipsto: US and Worldwide (For international subscribers: Items over $20 in value will have duties/taxes that will range from 12% – 18% depending on the Province. There may also be a collection fee from the posted country).
Funko POP Hulkbuster – Value $30?
This is an exclusive item for subscribers, so I’m guessing on the value. (I’ve seen a few listed on ebay for around $40, but I’m not sure if they are selling at that price).
It is an AWESOME POP! The detail is amazing, and it is the heaviest POP in my husband’s collection.
Marvel Collector Corps Patch – Value $5?
Marvel Collector Corps Pin – Value $4?
Two more exclusives for this box! I love when geeky boxes send exclusives too – I think it is a great differentiator and can make the box much more valuable.
Marvel Avengers Age of Ultron Borbz Vinyl Figure – Value $9?
This little guy is another exclusive! The head of this figure twists, and it has a good weight to it. (It measures about 3 inches tall).
Avengers Guardians Team Up 001 – Value $4
A look inside:
Thor Vs Ultron Tee – Value $28?
Subscribers will receive one of four exclusive design shirts. This one is made by Flop House, so I pulled their t-shirt prices for the value. It’s 90% Cotton, 10% Polyester, and it is medium to light weight. (Some geek boxes send out heavy cotton tees, and I think we prefer this style).
Verdict: I think this is a great first box from Marvel Collector Corps! It’s hard to put a value on the box since almost everything is exclusive, but I can say without a doubt it is worth $32 for us. (I’m guessing my husband would have spent $32 on the POP alone). My husband also loves all things Marvel, so this box removes some of the risk that we have with other geek boxes of sending items we may not be interested in.
Also, the packaging of this box is fantastic! It was so fun to unbox, and I think it made us even more excited to see Age of Ultron!
What do you think of the first Marvel Collector Corps subscription box?
