LOVED + BLESSED APRIL 2015 - info 2

On the inside of the box’s lid, Loved + Blessed includes an encouraging paragraph, expressing their vision for that month. This month, they’re focusing on forgiveness.

LOVED + BLESSED APRIL 2015 - info 1

Every box also comes with an informational card detailing the items featured that month.

LOVED + BLESSED APRIL 2015 - items 1

This is the mini poster, reminder sticker, and scripture card this month. Every month’s box includes these items, but the content/designs vary according to the theme.

LOVED + BLESSED APRIL 2015 - items 2

Purple Leather Cross Bracelet – value: $7?

Embroidered Bamboo Washcloth – value: $3?

(I had to guess the values, since Loved + Blessed doesn’t include values on their card, and these items are hard to search for specifically.)

These items are both really pretty! The bracelet is well-constructed and would make a great accessory/reminder.

I love anything made with bamboo fabric, including this washcloth. It’s super soft, and the lilac color and embroidery are nice.

LOVED + BLESSED APRIL 2015 - items 3

Forgiveness Paper

Apparently, this paper dissolves in water! The info card included this so you can write something you are struggling to forgive yourself for, put it in a bowl, pour water over it, and watch it disappear. It’s symbolic, but can definitely be cathartic and help you let go of something. I remember we would do something similar at church camps in middle school.

(This item isn’t in the photo of everything at the beginning of the review because I actually didn’t see it at first! It got stuck to the back of my print.)

Verdict: Overall, I like this month’s Loved + Blessed. I feel that this box fills a specific niche in the subscription box market – there are definitely few faith-based subscription boxes that I’ve seen. I think Loved + Blessed has good concepts and interesting ideas. It’s very difficult hard to do a specific, value-based evaluation of this box, considering its nature, but I know that a lot of our readers have argued that the monthly encouragement and message are definitely worth the $10 cost. Also, I have to point out that this isn’t a box whose purpose or goal is to provide a “good deal” or focus on monetary value or material worth, anyway. If you are the target demographic or have been searching for a Christian Encouragement/Faith-based/Scripture subscription, I think this is a well-executed and thoughtful option!

What do you think about Loved + Blessed?

I am thinking of this as a gift for someone, but I have to really look over the website. All the encouraging cards and notes and quotations are very good. Of course this combination of spirituality and pop psychology can be found overflowing in any protestant church, so I’m not sure that the real value isn’t in the gift. Not monetary value, but the bracelet, the washcloth, a charm, that is the symbol that is going to last with the person and embody the message. Because this will be a gift, I’m a bit worried that the gift each month be quality, cute, nice or original. Not just junk. This does look good. Just trying to weigh is this like Vistaprint gone wild, or really a little precious treasure of encouragement that people look forward to instead of getting tired of. All sub boxes after a while get sort of boring (how much makeup?), but with this theme of faith and hope, it has to be more visionary and creative. It’s nice, but will this really help someone? Anyone have advice for me?

Still one of my favorite subs! The messages of encouragement always show at the right time for me. This is such a great gift subscription too! I gave one to my sister a few months ago and renewed it for Mother’s Day. We can all use a little light and love in the mail – right? 🙂

I love this box! I agree that the facecloth is very soft. It was the perfect box for April. I agree that the owner is wonderful. I purchase this sub for both me and my sister. It’s a wonderful sub.

I think this box is so awesome. My fiancé and I and ordered subscriptions for our mothers for Mother’s Day. And I agree that the founder – Jamila – seems like a really sweet person.

Also, it’s a great gift to give someone who “has everything” or who says he/she doesn’t want anything. 🙂

I love getting this box every month. In fact I send it to someone else to encourage her every month. It’s not about the material value. It’s about the emotional spiritual value of it. And it’s high!!! I love the fact that I have a Scriptual card and items to remind me of the topic each month and am able to look at them constantly through out the day!!! What great reminders!!! Love, love, love!!!

I’m not normally into boxes such as these, but I’m really struggling in my life atm, and if anyone has this April box as pictured that they would like to sell or swap items for, please let me know. Thanks 🙂

Email Jamila. She might have one left. When I subscribed, she had a current box that I wanted left. She’s really a sweet person.

Okay, thank you, I will.

The washcloth is SO SOFT! It is going to be a little extra in my moms mother day gift. 😀 I listed the bracelet in the swap area, but I am still getting compliments on the mustard seed locket from the Feb box. Not to mention Jamilia is a genuinely great individual. I have started a scripture card area on my desk at work. 😀 It is a great little box indeed.

I loved the my box this month. I found myself wishing that we could remove the verse on the box flaps. I decided to save the box for when I send a gift so that the receiver can enjoy the monthly messages also.

I plan on gifting a subscription to a teen I know for her birthday.

I save my boxes and use them to mail little gifts to friends & family. They are a great size for some of the small items I have picked up in my travels to send to my aunt & cousin.

Love the idea of the forgiveness paper, would make a sweet gift. I’ve looked online & couldn’t find any info for it. For those who received the box, is there anything on the fold out/info card that tells where it came from?

Donna

I found it on Amazon. One site calls it “Walk With Jesus Dissolving Paper” and sells it for $18.03 plus shipping for 50 sheets. There are other listings.

Thanks for the info…hope to find it, would make a great gift to someone who is struggling.

Haley

Amy, there is not. It’s just called “forgiveness paper” on the info card. Maybe search for dissolvable or dissolving paper?

Thank you…I’ll check it out!!!

This is my favorite box. Sure, I love getting make-up and other things at a good value, but this box makes me realize how blessed that I really am. I love reading the message that is the theme for the month. I believe that the curators of this box have a calling and I know that they have the talent to select the perfect item to go with the theme.

Oh no! I completely missed the forgiveness paper! Need to be more careful in the future. What a great idea! I do not attend church or consider myself to be particularly religious but I always look forward to this box’s positive messages and encouragement.

I really liked this month. The bracelet is really nice and the washcloth is super soft! I overlooked the forgiveness paper at first too but when I re-read the info card, I looked for it again. It’s a really neat idea.

I love getting this box each month. The customer service is the best as well. I had to contact them to change my shipping address and the founder e-mailed me to assist me with it. She is a delightful person.

I am thinking of ordering a subscription for my mother & mother-in-law for Mother’s Day.
