  1. I was gonna skip this month but then they FINALLY made a nail polish named after me and it’s PINK! So I had to get it lol Plus they also named a polish after my sister (Becca) so I had to get that too cuz it was just too perfect 🙂

  2. I don’t sub julep maven but if anyone gets the shadow duo and doesn’t want I would love to swap. It would be my first swap. I will be on the lookout. Just FYI.

  3. Sorry Melanie but I think you spent $14.99 on 2 nail polishes. I got all the beauty items but with 2 nail polishes (plus a third free one with coupon code). The 2 nail polishes it came with were the blue green shimmer and a dark teal color.

I told myself I would skip this month, since I’m going to Europe and I don’t want to come home to “too many boxes.” So all my Pick or Skip subs are supposed to be skipped. I liked 3 of the colors this month (dahlia pink, magnolia and the shimmery blue green one), but I have a ton of eye shadow and didn’t want any other items.

On another note, I never would do a nail polish add on to a maven box for $6.99. For me it’s a better deal to buy the mystery box and get a free polish with the coupon code. If u were going to buy the polish anyways then it’s like getting the mystery box for only $18 instead of $25. Just my thoughts

    • Thanks for the information Vanessa! Very helpful. I have now learned my lesson. I kept the teal and green polishes for myself. They were really pretty. And I gave the other two to my mother in law as part of her Mother’s Day gift. It’s not a waste after all. I still think the mystery box was a great deal. Hope y’all have a fabulous trip!

      • Thanks Melanie!
And it’s great the the extra polishes worked out as a MIL gift 🙂

I always find it hard to resist the mystery box, I was ecstatic when I saw the eye primer in mine. I got one in a previous mystery box and loved it. I finished it about a month ago and was hoping it would show up in the mystery box again.

Update: I have remained strong and have not changed my mind and decided to take my maven box this month.

        • Vanessa – That is nice to hear about the eye primer. That is something I was looking forward to trying. Always love to hear from real people who have used stuff.

Glad to hear you stayed strong and went ahead and got your box this month. Beauty products are so hard to resist! 🙂

  4. If I sign up now, will I get both the Welcome Box and the May Box?

    • I think you would be eligible to select your box for June, but not the May box. I could be wrong though – I recommend double checking with Julep customer care.

  5. I skipped this month. First time I’ve skipped a box. I just feel like I have all these colors already. Last month was great, I got the pollish lovers upgrade.

  6. Julep is probably my favorite sub, but I am so underwhelmed with this collection. The only things in which I’m interested are the new It’s Balm (previously Plush Pout) colors, but do I really need those? No, not at two for $25. I also want Moni, which is only available as an add on, but then I’d be up to $32 for a couple lippies and a nail polish. Again, no. I think I will skip my box this month. Blasphemy! lol

  7. I skipped this month. I have one more month prepaid, and none of the colors jumped out at me this month. And I haven’t been happy with any of the Julep beauty products I’ve received, so that’s out.

  8. These colors look great. I am tempted to sign up but I’m afraid it will be quite difficult to cancel.

  9. I think I’m skipping this month. I should have gotten the Cora mystery box, now that I’ve seen it (well through Instagram) I’m so bummed that I didn’t. I loved the look of the Valentine’s one, so I jumped at St. Patty’s and did not love the colors. So then I wouldn’t let myself get Cora. I have no luck 😉

Anyway, I don’t love these colors, and thanks to the St Patty’s mystery box and my first regular box I have tons of new colors still to try, so I think I’ll wait until next month and then go for the three-month pre-paid to bring down the cost a smidge (I think I can do it that way).

  10. What is the pink, in the top left, named? It’s beautiful, but I’m not a mavin and cannot see it on the site. Thanks!

    • Amanda, described as pink dahlia creme.

      • Thanks Chris!

  11. Testing? Did my last comment not post? 🙁

    • It did. My bad. Please disregard said comment and go back to clicking through all the lovely boxes 😀

  12. So I said to myself, ALL MONTH: Brooke, do NOT take your May box. It’s your last prepaid, just skip it and subsequent, and start getting polishes at the secret store only. It’s cheaper! You get the same polishes! And you’ll buy fewer things! And PS if you are stupid enough to take the May box, do NOT get any add-ons.

What did I do? May box (Denise, Vanna, swapped out lippie for eyeshadow duo) + 3 add ons (Jessica, basecoat, remover pads). I am so weak when it comes to pretty colors!!! Sigh.

  13. I miss the excitement of Julep selection time. But I look at those colors and think I have something similar to most, if not all, of them. I’ll content myself with the mystery box I got last week (was a good one!) and wait for Black Friday sales.

    • Got my mystery box last Friday – got the nail-only box and was very pleasantly surprised at how many items (and not just polishes) were in there. It was a great box!

      • Mine was the nail-only one, too.

Of course the polish I did as a free add-on with code was also in the box. So now I have two Hazels!

        • I wish I’d ordered the nail only mystery box.
I actually preferred the mermaid jelly polish, Cora I think, that was to be in it. But, clever me, I ordered the beauty box as I have too many polishes.
And I hate it! I immediately listed every single item on the swap site.
The polish box turns out to be not too heavy on polish with just the accessories one would want.
So I’m skipping this month. Not because I was disappointed in the mystery box, but because I really do have Too Much Polish.

          • Helen- I got the beauty mystery box, too. This is my first time to get anything from them. I added the major add-on for $14.99. This is what I ended up with:

            – 4 nail polishes
            – 1 lipgloss
            – 2 eyeliners (1 gel and 1 double ended)
            – 1 eye primer/base
            – 1 eyeshadow
Trying to determine what was supposed to be in the box and what the major add-on item was. Really hoping I didn’t end up spending $14.99 for 3 extra nail polishes. I only wanted that one, which is why I did the beauty box, not the nail one.
