Graze Subscription Box Review + Free Box Coupon – April 2015 Box

Graze is a mini-snack subscription box that sends a customized selection of treats weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. They offer over 100 different snacks that you can rate online, which, over time, helps tailor your subscription to your particular snacking preferences. (I’ve been subscribing to Graze for well over a year now, and it’s very rare I receive a snack I’m not excited to eat!) For subscribers with food sensitivities, it’s easy to trash snacks that contain gluten, dairy, or any other specific ingredient; however, Graze snacks are produced in a facility with nuts, wheat, milk, and many other foods that might not make this subscription a good fit for anyone with severe food allergies.

Boxes are shipped via USPS and are conveniently designed to fit in most standard mailboxes.

Graze Subscription Box Review + Free Box Coupon – April 2015 Chilli Bites

Thai Sweet Chili Bites with Sweet Chili Sauce

Graze has quite a few different “dippers,” and I’m a big fan of them all. I tend to go for salty snacks over sweet, so these soy dippers are right up my alley! Quite a few of the Graze snacks are under 100 calories, which I appreciate since it makes me feel less guilty about snacking between meals.

Graze Subscription Box Review + Free Box Coupon – April 2015 Nuts

Antioxidant Vitamin E Nuts

This snack is labeled as a “nutritionist pick” because it’s high in Vitamin E, our body’s natural antioxidant. It’s a mix of redskin peanuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, and pecans. The natural nut blends aren’t my favorite Graze snacks, but I like to keep them on hand for when I want a healthy energy boost.

Graze Subscription Box Review + Free Box Coupon – April 2015 Garden

Garden of England

I’ve had this snack before, and I really like it. It’s a mix of dried strawberries, blackcurrants, and soft apple pieces. I think it’s rare to find dried strawberries and blackcurrant in snacks, so I appreciate that this mix offers something a little unusual.

Graze Subscription Box Review + Free Box Coupon – April 2015 Flap jack

Apple and Cinnamon Flapjack

Graze has a number of different flapjacks, and we receive them on a regular basis. (For those unfamiliar with flapjacks, they’re similar to soft granola bars.) It’s easy to rate the snacks you receive online, and I should probably update my preferences to make sure I receive these less frequently. While I like them, I’d be happy to receive them only once in a while.

Verdict: As always, I’m really happy with my Graze box. I think their packaging is fun and well designed (I love this month’s Easter box!), and I really enjoy the variety of snacks they offer. It’s so easy to customize my subscription online, and I think they do a pretty good job of regularly sending me my “love it” snacks while still introducing me to new ones. The snacks are pretty small (definitely single serve), but I actually like receiving smaller, individually sized snack-packs. If you haven’t tried Graze, I would definitely recommend it, especially since you can try your first box for free!

Do you subscribe to Graze? What are your favorite snacks?

I enjoyed Graze the few months that I received it. I didn’t love it so much that I could justify the monthly payment though. I have too many other boxes that I LOVE getting that some had to be cut 🙂

I’ve been getting graze boxes for a while now and love it! Its a great value and helps me not hit the vending machine since i have a healthy snack on me. I keep my graze at work and there is always a variety. So I also have something im in the mood for. They are nice when u dont like something and do send it if you already know you won’t like it.

I just wanted to share that Groupon has the Graze subscription for $15 for four deliveries of the 4 snacks or $24 for four deliveries of the 8 snacks. For 50% off I am going to go for it. It does state new customers only.

Are sure this is a Groupon? I really want to take advantage of this but I cannot find in anywhere on the Groupon site 🙁

Davi, Hi, yes definitely groupon, as I purchased yesterday. I am attaching the link to it when I searched just now (4-19 @ 1:05am) so it is still available showing 23 hours left to buy. I just typed in Graze and it’s the only match for my current location of Los Angeles so I don’t know if it’s regional. Sorry for my late reply but we are on graveyard shift hours so I just saw your response. Good luck, Katie

I signed up for the free box! 😀 Anyone know about how long it takes to receive that first free box?

My free box also arrived within about a week – I got it last week then switched my sub to every 2 weeks so I’ll get my 2nd one next week.

My husband didn’t care for the snacks much but I liked all 4 (loved one!) and I do like the little portion sizes so I’ll try it a few more times and see if I want to keep.

Yay! Thank you for responding! 🙂

:)

My first one came very fast- I’d say about a week after signing up. Thereafter, I was signed up for the 4 snack box each week and found I couldn’t eat them fast enough. Recently switched to one 8 snack box a month. I generally like everything I receive, and they let me nix all the snacks with raisins!

Ooooh! I hate raisins! That’s really good to know! Thanks!

Vanessa

I have also recently switched to getting one 8 snack box per month. You save a couple dollars per box.

Tamara

Nice! Thanks for the response! 🙂

I LOVE Graze! I got my first box free and followed MSAs advice, going online and marking my preferences, so everything I received was delicious. I was determined to make the box last more than a day – and it lasted two days! I’m a school teacher and I forgot my lunch the second day, so I ended up eating the three Graze snacks I had left. Thankfully, I’d eaten my nuts the night before, because nuts at school are a no-go, of course, due to all the food allergies.

I immediately switched my sub to eight snacks a week, because I knew this was the only way my husband and 10 year old son would ever get to try anything! I understand that some people feel the snacks are kind of expensive, but you have to consider QUALITY over quantity. These are healthy snacks that you can feel good about eating, they are conveniently packaged, and honestly – I bet if people had the opportunity to pick between a couple of 8 packs of Graze snacks and 1 Love With Food Deluxe Box (about the same price), Graze would win pretty much every time!

I really like Love With Food and subscribe to it as well, but I think of it as more of a hit and miss box. It allows my family to try new things that we wouldn’t otherwise try and sometimes we find some new favorites. However, with Graze, I think consistently high quality and healthy snacks are the key. I have tried so hard to teach my child about proper portion size – there is NO WAY I’m going to complain about Graze providing yummy AND healthy snacks that he will reach for again and again that are appropriately portioned!

More is not always more and it’s worth it to me to pay for quality snacks. I don’t ever take my ability to do so for granted – not for one second. I know that I’m really lucky to be able to afford to choose. I’m grateful that I can and happy that MSA introduced me to Graze.

Yogamom67, That was a great comment. It made a lot of points I agree with. I have 6 kids so I can’t cost effectively subscribe to many snack subscription boxes because it’s just hard to spread them over 6 kids. I do appreciate the portion sizing and quality of Graze. This is a box I am considering trying in a larger size here and there as a special treat for them to receive in the mail.

Yogamom, your comment on proper portion sizes is a really good point. I’m going to keep that approach in mind with my kids and give this box a try. The variety they offer looks great.

I’ve had four Graze boxes.. one I loved, two I hated and my most recent one was okay overall. I did really like the flapjack I got this month, it was tasty. I got Tropical Daiquiri and it was WAY too sweet. I also have had to ixnay like 15 of their snacks because they’re banana themed. I happen to hate bananas, lol. Weird, I know.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristin

Definitely not weird! I also hate the taste of banana – it’s actually the only fruit I can think of that I don’t like. I’ve subscribed to Graze for quite awhile now and the first thing I did when I joined was go through the options and cross out anything that contained banana! 😀

Not weird. I hate bananas too! When I was a kid I had to eat a lot of bananas and I’ve never liked them since.
