  1. Can u use a coupon code when purchasing gift subscriptions????? HELP!!

    • Normally YES, as long as u haven’t used them before. Remember to add in your Mystery sample. You can also use any points u may have saved up.

  2. I ordered 2 boxes, both had the Cannes blush, not my favorite color, but I overall I love the box !

  3. Now that I’m reading feedback from those of you who have received your boxes, I think I’d like one. I only have $10 in points, but I’m guessing this box will still be around next month when I’ll have more points to put towards it.
Perhaps they didn’t call it a Mother’s Day box so it could be sold for longer than just this month? Most of the other LE boxes are available for ages.

    • I think you’re right, this box will still be around next month. Find a code and accumulate some more points — I think you have time.

Vanity Affair and Home Sweet Homespun are still around and those were released last year.

  4. I got the lipstick in Lola, the blush in Cannes, and the Perfume in Coconut milk and Mango. The perfume smells heavenly. Not too strong and tropical delicious. I wish Birchbox would send perfume samples that smell like this, if they did, I’d stop complaining. I usually choose a pink-er blush, but the color is subtle and probably better suited to my skin tone. The lipstick did not go on as dark as it looked in the tube. I think it’s a good neutral. I’m really pleased with the whole box, especially considering I only paid $22 after a coupon code and points.

  5. Just got mine, I received warm tones on the blush and lip but they are light and will work just fine. I like my box.

  6. Got the Cargo blush in Amalfi (orange-y) and lipstick in Iola (brown-ish). I’m good with that. I didn’t really need another pink blush. That candle is pretty big.

    • Oops, I mean my blush was in “Cannes.” Shouldn’t post when I’m exhausted.

  7. Not thrilled with mine– but can only blame myself as the contents were clearly listed.

I got the Cargo in Amalfi which is a nice pink. I got the jouer lipstick in a hideous mauve that’s WAY too old for me (& I am 53 years old!), gack!

I also hate the perfume: coconut milk and mango? wth? Those are things I put in my smoothies, not on my body. I put some on and smelled like I spilled my lunch on my neck. Yuck.

Love the caudalie (which I’ve bought before) but it’s pretty small. LOVE the Davines. Love Rituals shower gels… I use them as shaving gels. Happy to get another. Interested in the polishes, haven’t tried. And I don’t drink tea or use candles.

  8. Got my box today in the mail. That was fast! The lip color I got was a light natural-looking pink color called meg. I haven’t tried it yet, but think I will like it. Very happy it wasn’t some crazy shade. The blush I got is an orangey-pink color called Cannes. Might be a bit bright for me, but hoping it will be a nice summer shade when I wear warmer colors. Unfortunately, I didn’t love the smell of the perfume. Just OK; I will probably swap it.

    • Oh, the perfume scent I got was Coconut Milk Mango. As I don’t care for coconut, no wonder I don’t love it 🙂

    • I just got my box today and got the same colors as you. I wish the lipstick were a shade darker or something. The Cargo blush is really nice, but not sure the shade will work for my skin tone. I LOVE the perfume, it smells amazing. I only paid $12 for this after coupon and points it was well worth it, the items I’m keeping valued over $124.

    • I got these same colors/scent too. The lipstick feels really nice on. It’s a smudge too light on me, but I may try it with lip liner tomorrow and see if that helps. The blush may be a little too orange, so I may need to put it up for swap. Too bad because it’s a huge size! I wanted to try it but I’m going to have to look at it in the daylight.

  9. I wish they would offer one in “cool” and the other in “warm” shades. I am very pale with blue eyes and I seem to only get brown/orange lip shades in subscription boxes. I’d jump at this box if I could garuntee the colors would work for me.

    • That’s a wonderful idea! I’d be all over a box geared to cool skin tones.
It seems that us rosy skinned women are underserved in the beauty department generally. I’d guess that 90% of the products I’m sent in beauty boxes are more suited to those with warm toned skin.

    • I’m also pale with blue eyes. But I can get away with wearing pretty much any color. I think I have the elusive “neutral” undertones. Or perhaps warm colors work for me because I have dyed my hair black.

  10. I would buy this but I am so tired of getting products that I really like in colors that don’t work for me. I don’t need another pale pink nail polish that I will end up giving away, but I really like the other nail color. I wish they would let us pick our own the colors that went into these limited edition boxes. The value for me would be so much higher if I could get the colors I wanted.

    • Eliza that would be so great to pick our own colors. Love that idea!

  11. Definitely ordered one! I will keep some products and gift others in the beautiful box.

  12. Even though I have points to spend, I’m going to pass. I love Harney tea but can only drink decaf. Just got the tangerine colored Cargo blush in my box this month (prefer pink/mauve tones) but no guarantee of the color so I’m guessing they’ll be sending out the same color they have stocked. I joined the Joeur Matchbox so I assume I’ll get enough of their lipstick not to need this one.

Good for my wallet! Hope everyone enjoys their box, though!

  13. On the fence. Except for that home sweet home clothespin thing, I typically LOVE BB LE boxes and get them all (& I have 400 points…) – but I feel like I’ve gotten 86 Cargo blushes lately, I hate candles, and I’m swimming in everything else….. Hmmm…

  14. Wondering if Mothers Day is now not politically correct, why change the name, odd.

    • Maybe they changed the name just to appeal to a broader group? This way is not necessarily centered around mothers.

  15. Wow, already shipped.

  16. I ordered mine, but really think that they shouldn’t have sample size products, I’m really liking Glossyboxes more.

  17. Thanks for coupon with it and my points I only paid 30.00. And It will be a perfect gift for my mom.

  18. When I first saw this several weeks ago I thought for sure I would be purchasing one. However, I’m disappointed that there will be so much variance with colors/scents. And I’m realizing there is nothing in this box I really “need” — I’m mostly just tempted by the pretty curation. I think I’ll put my BB points toward full-size items from a luxry BB brand that I love. (Such as By Terry!)

  19. I would probably go for it if I knew what the products would be. There’s just too much variation with the colors and scent. My purse of course says this is a good thing! 😉

  20. I wonder what prompted BirchBox to change the name? It seems strange to change the name after announcing it as a Mother’s Day box a month ago. I have no problems with the name change. I’m always curious about businesses.

I’m passing on the box. There’s only a couple items that interest me. I do hope everyone enjoys their boxes.

  21. I will be skipping this one. It looks like a nice variety, but nothing that I’m excited about. I absolutely loved the Fresh Start box this winter. Everything except for the patchouli bath salt was awesome. Hope their next LE box nothing is more my style!

  22. I think I’ll be passing on this one. The two items I’m most interested in are the blush and lipstick, but the colors will vary, so that’s too risky for me. Everything else, I could take or leave.

  23. I had $600 in points. So I used a code and also bought something else that was $32. I ended up paying $15 out of pocket but I didn’t waste any points that way. (And yesterday was payday, anyway!)

    • Oops, I mean 600 points ($60).

Six hundred dollars in points would be pretty amazing…but I will never get there.

  24. None of the codes worked for me except takeoff10, which is $10 off. With $40 in points I paid $12. Thanks.

  25. WELCOMEOFFER20 worked! Combined with my $10 in birchbox points I was able to save $32. Thanks Liz!

  26. None of the promo codes worked for me 🙁 I have $40 saved in points, but not really fair the promo codes don’t work for me. Little miffed after the home sweet home box I paid full price for that I could’ve later gotten for $10.

    • None of the codes Liz mentioned worked for me, but I was able to use BBJETBLUE15 to save 15% and use my $40 in points to get the box for $13.

  27. Thank you BB for deciding to release the LE box early. Now I don’t have to stalk the website. All in all it was a good purchase for $26 with my points and code. Also thanks for sharing the codes with other subbies.

  28. Sigh, so much phenoxyethanol in these limited edition boxes that are coming out. Consoled myself by buying something at Caudalie, who has an awesome gwp right now.

  29. TAKEOFF20 worked. 20% off plus a couple of extra mystery samples make this a great deal and a perfect gift!

  30. I gave a lot of points so this was a no brainer got it just now.

  31. Just ordered. I used the mobile20 code. I also had $40 in points saved up, so I paid only $9.60 for the box and the sample pack!

  32. Thanks, Liz, not sure if you’re an angel or a devil though cause my pocketbook is killing me, but I’m in for one, so boorah! 🙂

  33. Thanks so much for sharing! I bought it immediately. I’ve been waiting for it to come out! I’m glad it came out a little early. I used mobile20 and my points to buy!

  34. I’m really not seeing a $180 value there. I haven’t added it exactly, but quite a few of those items are sample sized.
Does anyone think this is inflated at all?

    • I haven’t checked this one, but I’ve checked the values of every Birchbox LE box I’ve bought and they’ve always been almost exactly accurate.
Of course, you may feel that some of the products are overpriced, but product pricing isn’t within BB’s purview.

    • (copied from Birchbox product page)
      Each box contains:
Cargo Powder Blush (colors will vary) or Cargo BeachBlush™
Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum – Sample Size
      Davines Anti Aging Hand Cream
      Greenleaf Bella Freesia Candle Tin
Harney and Sons Fine Tea Wrapped Sachets
Illume Go Be Lovely Demi Perfume (scents will vary)
Jouer Hydrating Lipstick (colors will vary)
Living proof.® Perfect hair Day® (PhD) Night Cap Overnight Perfector – Sample Size
Two (2) Nails Inc. Gel Effect Polishes in Mayfair Lane and Porchester Square
Rituals Foaming Shower Gel – Travel Size

If I read this right, there will be 2 sample sizes and one travel size. I assume everything else is full size.

  35. I want this so bad but I am put off by the fact that colors and scents vary. I wish it was set which colors and scent. Also wondering which flavor for the tea.
I’m waiting for the baby box to come back in stock too. I’m getting it for myself, due in November. 🙂

    • Liz I see you mention earl grey for the tea and amalfi for the blush but I see no mention on their page. Do you know for sure that’s what is in the box. They don’t seem to even have the Amalfi color in stock and it says “colors will vary on the page” just wondering if you have some insider info. 🙂 if that’s definitely what is in the box then I’m definitely getting one.

      • Ah so sorry. I copied and pasted the item list from the original post I did a month ago, and should have taken the item list straight from the Birchbox site. It is fixed now!

    • Congratulations!! I hope it comes back in stock even more for your sake! Those onesies are so cute!!

  36. Thanks so much for posting this! I wasn’t going to check until the morning. Hoping it arrives as fast as the Gap Limited Edition Box did.

  37. $53.57. Stupid tax, I wanted it to be 49 so I could only use 40$ in points. Probably for the best, the only thing I need is that blush and I shall get it cheaper! I with the baby one was in stock though 🙁 Its sold out and such a great gift!

    • Totally wish I’d bought a couple more of those!

  38. Thank you for the info! Got my box too!

  39. TAKEOFF20 worked for me. Thanks for letting us know the box was available sooner than expected. I’m so happy I got it.
