SprezzaBox Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Bracelets

The Tie Maker Bracelets – 2 pack, value: $12

Jack Black Face Buff Energizing Scrub

Jack Black Protein Booster Skin Serum

Elastic bracelets like this are apparently a trend now for men, alone or with watches. I’m not sure I’ve seen it around, but these bracelets are made pretty well. If I don’t end up using them myself, I’ll probably swap these.

SprezzaBox Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Tie

SkinnyFatties Limited Edition Necktie – value: $60

Sock101 – value: $12

This tie feels like nice quality, plus its worth over twice the cost of the box, so that makes the whole box worth it for me. I know this tie will make a great gift!

I think these socks are cute. They go up higher than what my husband prefers, so I actually get to snag these for myself to lounge around in and keep my feet warm!

Verdict: The style of SprezzaBox seems to be pretty similar to Birchbox Man, in that it seems to feature more formal items for men (neckties, shoelaces, etc.). The total value adds up to ~$84, so I’m happy with that value. There’s been a tie in every SprezzaBox that I’ve received, which is okay, but I’m not sure how I feel about a tie being the big ticket item in every box/most boxes. If you love getting new different ties and wear them often, this may be a good box for you. Part of me wishes for more variety, however, especially if they’re trying to compete with Birchbox Man.

What do you think of SprezzaBox?

I notice that Birchbox Man also sends lots of bracelets for men. None of my men (dh and sons) would wear those….like ever!

Are they really popular?

There is a guy I work with who is recently married. His wife gives him “trendy” items to wear. (We work in a business casual office, so you don’t often see ties.) He has a lot of interesting socks (of the sort pictured above), which he blames on her. I will let you know if he shows up with stretch bracelets one day!

Like many women, I dress my husband (not literally since he’s not a Ken doll). I’m a fashion junkie and try to stay with or ahead of the curve in terms of what is (or will be) on trend each season. The bracelets have been around for a few years but I think they appeal to a fairly specific male demographic. My boys (16 and 12) wouldn’t wear them and they’re very into trend setting (I swear my oldest successfully brought back bow ties at his school, lol). And while I may have finally gotten the hubs to wear pink and lavender, there’s no way he would wear a bracelet. A layered vest/jacket/jeans look, sure. Man jewelry, definitely not. But I’ve seen quite a few twenty-something’s at SoCal beaches sporting a stack of bead bracelets.

I think SoCal beaches are not so representative of the rest of the country…maybe that is why I have not seen any of these bracelets.

Of course, I also don’t have any interest in fashion trends. Somehow I have managed to end up with subscriptions to Glamour and People StyleWatch (probably freebies from JustFab when I forgot to uncheck the box) and they go straight to the recycling bin without being looked at. So I am probably not the target market for this kind of stuff in the first place (for men *or* women).

Haha love it. It’s nice that he doesn’t refuse to wear those ‘trendy’ items – my bf would refuse to wear anything even an inch out of his preppy style.
