Julep Maven Review & Free Box Code – March 2015 Box

Julep Maven is a monthly nail polish and beauty subscription box. They make all their own products, so subscribers get a good value each month – over $40 retail worth of product for $24.99 a month.

And, if you sign up for 3-months up front, you get the $19.99 rate.

Each month Julep releases a new collection on the 20th, and you can decide which box you want, you can upgrade to the entire collection, or you can skip that month.

This month I decided to go with the Boho Glam box.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Julep Maven Review & Free Box Code – March 2015 Polish

Julep Nail Color in Ali – Retail Value $14

Julep Nail Color in Whitney – Retail Value $14

I love both of these shades! The pale blue Ali shade has a soft focus finish which gives it a semi-matte look. And I think my favorite is the Whitney shade – it is the perfect greige!

Julep Maven Review & Free Box Code – March 2015 Eyeliner

Julep Fluid Eye Glider – Retail Value $20

Normally I don’t get too excited about getting another eyeliner in a subscription box, but this month I really wanted to try out Julep’s liquid eyeliner. It’s relatively easy to apply, I could get right on the lash line, and it has major staying power – I couldn’t get it to budge 30 seconds after applying it. I also like that Julep’s beauty products are paraben free. I’m sure I will be grabbing more of these eyeliners in the future!

Julep Maven Review & Free Box Code – March 2015 Candy

Each month Julep includes a little extra bonus – usually candy. (I like that the include the ingredients and an allergen warning too).

Julep Maven Review & Free Box Code – March 2015 Coupon

This box also came with a coupon for a free nail polish with any order of $15 or more – use code GETCOLOR.

Verdict: This was a perfect Julep Maven box for me. I love both of my nail polish shades, and the eyeliner is a great makeup find for me. What did you pick from Julep Maven for March?

  1. I opted to get the Mystery Beauty Box option this month and I got:
    Night Shift Sleep Mask $27.20
    Plush Pout Lip Crayon in
    Cardinal Red $16.00
Gel Eye Glider in Olive $12.80

My freebie for including 3 add-ons was Nail Polish in Francis (and awful avacado green color) $11.20

Not thrilled with the awful green eye liner/polish, but I like everything else.

    • Also, the coupon code I got was TAKE30 for 30% off an order before 03/31/2015. Limit two uses per customer. Not valid on mystery boxes.

  2. I love the liquid eyeliner! Can’t wait to try the soft focus nail polish shades. The lipstick I got was happy hour- a beautiful hot pink. I love it- had decent staying power and was creamy.

  3. I got this box, but opted for the lipstick option in chit chat. It’s a very creamy matte which is usually hard to find with matte lipsticks. It also came with a clear lip liner. Not sure if it does anything after trying it, but still glad I got it. Also got the liquid eyeliner too, I thought it was similar to the skone brand I received in my ipsy bag a few months ago. I am really glad I got it though because I genuinely love julep beauty products. I also already used this free nail polish add on with the saint paddys day mystery box
