Here’s everything unpacked from the box. It really is a lot of candy!

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – March 2015 Orange

Gimbal's Orange N' Creme Soft Chews

Orange N’ Crème Soft Chews are a new candy discovery for me, and I really like them. They’re soft and chewy (just as their name suggests), and the combination of orange and cream makes them taste like an old-fashioned creamsicle.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – March 2015 Fruit

Allan Sour Fruit Slices

Sweet & sour gummy candy is a favorite of mine, so I was very happy to see these sour fruit slices included in the box. The fruit slices come in a variety of different fruit shapes, which is fun, and I like the strong, sour fruit flavors.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – March 2015 Pacifier

Oh' Baby Fruit Flavored Pacifier Candy

Oh’ Baby Pacifiers are tiny and brightly colored. Interestingly, one end of each candy is softer than the other. The “pacifier” end crumbles into a powder when you bite down on it, while the “handle” end is harder and crunchier. This isn’t usually the kind of candy I reach for, but when I sat down to taste everything I kept sneaking back to the pacifier jar for “just a couple more.” What is it about itty-bitty candy that makes it so much fun to eat?

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – March 2015 Caramels

Primrose Vanilla Caramel Kiss

I was expecting these Primrose Vanilla Caramel Kiss candies to taste like traditional caramels, but their flavor is more like a dairy-rich chew with a very subtle caramel flavor. They actually remind me a tiny bit of vanilla tootsie rolls.

Candy Club Subscription Box Review + Coupon – March 2015 Rock

Dryden & Palmer Rock Candy BONUS ITEM!

The rock candy was included in the box as a “special bonus treat.” My box included two swizzle sticks, both cotton candy-flavored. I loved rock candy when I was a kid, but, as an adult, it’s a candy that I never think to buy. Eating it was pure nostalgia!

Verdict: I really enjoy receiving boxes from Candy Club. Opening up a box FULL of candy always seems to put a smile on my face, and the candy I receive from Candy Club always tastes very fresh. I think their packaging is well designed, and I love their signature plastic and tin containers. On their website, Candy Club mentions that each box will have a $60 retail value. While this seems a little steep, it’s in line with the pricing at Dylan’s Candy Bar. You could certainly get this much candy for less from the supermarket’s bulk bin aisle, but I think the packaging and curation add value. I do want to point out that Candy Club recently increased their subscription costs. While I still think this is a fun subscription that would make a great gift, the increased cost is definitely something to consider if you’re thinking about subscribing.

What did you think of this month’s Candy Club?

So upset. Worst customer service ever. Paid one year in advance, they charged me an extra $6-7 a month in shipping to alaska, then 3 months in, no candy. No response to email.. Left a message on Facebook and got a voicemail that they would call me the next business day. I had to call them.. No longer shipping to alaska, it’s not cost effective. Really, $12 a month in shipping isn’t enough? A real business with some customer service would have eaten the extra cost above the $12 a month to finish out my contract. They could have at least made an effort to contact me. They tried to say my phone wasn’t taking voicemails. Funny, he had left one saying they were going to call me back.. Avoid at all costs.

Yep I canceled my sub to this last month. I love their packaging but every month the bulk was candy I didn’t like at all, mainly sour stuff, and at that price, no thanks.

Hi! I was thinking of getting the subscription just to try out. I was wondering how much of the prorate they take out upon canceling your pre-paid subscription.

Is it weird that I’d sign up for this if it didn’t come with nutritional information? If I don’t see how bad it is for me, I’ll eat it in a moment of weakness, because ignorance is bliss.

Wow, was thinking of signing up, but that new price point is NOT WORTH IT. The increased cost lost a customer, haha. I imagine most people feel the same, that it’s not worth it?

Yeah, I always wonder how this sub stays in business. I wouldn’t pay this much for some sugar-candy (as opposed to chocolates) in a 100 years.

I could go to my local Cracker Barrel and get all this for $10 or less.

I so wanted to sign up for this one, but I was thinking the same – Go to Cracker Barrel and buy the stuff for less money.
