Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – March 2015 Info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.

Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – March 2015 Serum

Iwi Fresh Zesty Lime Body Oil – 1 oz? Value $4.60

I really like the zesty lime scent of this body oil – and the brand is a new discovery for me! (The bottle isn’t labeled with a size so I’m estimating it is 1 ounce).

Misoves Pure Balanced Face Oil – .25 oz (Travel Size) Value $18

This is one of the more lightweight facial oils I’ve sampled (great for the coming warmer months), and the scent is very light too.

Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – March 2015 Soap

Elegant Rose Rosemary Nettle Shampoo & Body Bar – (Travel Size) Value $2

I’m a little obsessed with natural soaps thanks to Sudsy Box, and this one smells wonderful. I’ll probably use it as a body bar instead of a shampoo bar though.

True Beauty Brooklyn 100% Organic Body & Beauty Moisturizer with Lavender – .25 oz Value $5

This is one of those moisturizers that is solid in the jar, but then immediately turns to an oil with the heat of your fingertips. I love that it is made with all organic ingredients, and the lavender scent isn’t too strong either.

Verdict: This is one of the better Bare Bliss boxes I’ve received in a while. I’m happy with the sizes of all the products, and everything in this box smells amazing. (Plus all these brands are new discoveries for me!) The box has a value of about $30, which is pretty good for the $20 cost.

What do you think of the March Bare Bliss box?

  1. I got mine through Gilt City and I’m thinking of canceling and just losing the rest of the months. This box is unbelievably bad. By FAR the worst I’ve had. They had a one time $18 charge for shipping. I paid that before I started. Then last month, they charged me again. I angrily emailed them and they refunded me. Then last night it happened AGAIIN. I am livid.

  2. I am ending my subscription with Bare Bliss, and I’ve been with them for 6 months. They have very little idea of how to run this business. First, I didn’t receive a code for the nail polish and had to email them multiple times and message on them on Facebook to get it. Then my subscription randomly stopped working, and I had to email them again. They said they fixed it and now yet again my subscription stopped. They don’t know why it’s happening and said they would sendout the March box anyways while their tech guy figured it out. I haven’t received the March box or any follow up about what’s happening even though I emailed them again! They haven’t offered me any discount for my troubles and I’m tired of the hassle of waiting weeks for a response from the company. It sounds like I’m not the only one either. Just look at their comments on Facebook and Instagram from other subscribers who are having problems and being ignored.

    • I also ended my subscription at my 6th month mark. I’m sick of having to contact them to track down my box. Somehow, they kept forgetting to ship out my box…I am still waiting for my Feb. box which was prob shipped out 2 weeks ago after I contacted them and they confirmed that it wasn’t shipped out to me at all. It’s a pity that after 6 months they hv yet to sort out their system and shipping. I truly enjoy most of the items that i got in the boxes, but Its just too frustrating to hv to contact them to track the whereabouts of my box.

  3. Well, I used a Gilt City voucher for six months. The box I got was similar to this except instead of the Face Oil, I received a 1oz PuraBella deodorant. And not to knock Purabella at all but that’s a pretty big value discrepancy. In fact, it puts my box at UNDER the $19.99/month cost of the box.

So I don’t know if they really are sending lower valued boxes to the Gilt City people or if this was a variation that even NON-Gilt City purchasers got.

    • I’m a Gilt subber and I also got the deod.

  4. I also received a cream deodorant rather than the face oil. It is disappointing that this may be a variant for some Gilt subscribers, again.

    • I subscribed with Gilt City and received the face oil

  5. I just received my March box from barbells and mine didn’t include the Missives face oil like I wanted. My box included pure bella creme deodorant instead. This is my second box that is different from other subscribers. Not happy. I was hopeful that I would like Bare Bliss but been disappointed with both boxes and have 4 more to go. I bought my 6 month subscription from Gilt City.

    • It should say Bare Bliss and Misoves (darn autocorrect)

  6. I’m no longer a subscriber. The items in this month’s box looks great to me. I have to give the owner credit for sourcing the items. Misoves posted on their Facebook page that they are in this month’s Bare Bliss box. At least with this box you know that the items are legitimate. It’s been that way ever since the first box where she provided discount codes to be used on the vendor websites. Hopefully the owner will work out the kinks.

    • I am also no longer a subscriber, but I want to rejoin after seeing this box!

I actually received two boxes by mistake for February (my last month). When I contacted Shelli, she immediately responded, and stated that she would send me a return label. I thought she had forgotten after a couple of weeks, and gifted it to a friend. Shelli ended up sending me that label with an apology for forgetting, and was very gracious when I told her that the box was no longer in my possession to return. She closed with offering to let me keep my original subscription rate if I resubscribed. It’s very tempting….

  7. This box looks good! I hope I get it instead of a separate box for Gilt City customers — which is what happened last month. Here’s hoping!

    • Jovan, i signed up through gilt city and got the same box as liz. I hope that helps

    • Hopefully I get my box! It’s April and still waiting 🙁

  8. This is a good box unless you’re one of those people who can’t use lots of oils. (Facial oils are not a good match for me — believe me, I have tried — though I do have better luck with oils on arms/legs/etc.) I feel like some of the competing boxes have a little better value (Petit Vour comes to mind), but Bare Bliss Box is still fairly new and if it sticks around, I’m sure the value will improve.

  9. Just signed up! I hope it isn’t too late to get this box, I really want to try the face oil with green tea extract.
