With Love From Angela Subscription Box Review - Feb 2015 Soap

With Love From Angela Lotion Bar

Herbaria French Lavender Bar Soap – 4.5 oz, value: $4.95

I’ve never tried lotion bars before, but I’ve heard a lot about them. I’ve officially been converted! I love this bar and how it makes my hands feel. They also packaged it in a cute tin, so it’s easy to keep in my bag. (I can’t find a shop for the With Love From Angela brand, so I can’t find a value on this, unfortunately.)

Lavender is one of my favorite scents, so I’m thrilled to have this bar soap!

With Love From Angela Subscription Box Review - Feb 2015 Sea Bag

Caracalla Bath Balm Bath Bomb - ~4 oz, value: $4.95

Natural Loofah – value: $1?

Mungo Murphy’s Sea-Bag – value: $5.64 (USD, converted from 4.95 euros)

This bath bomb sounds like it’s perfect for when you’re feeling under the weather or have a cold – it has pine, menthol, and eucalyptus!

It seems like this sea-bag is beneficial for just about anything! First of all, it’s a bag of seaweed from the Atlantic. You boil it before a bath and then pour it and the water you boiled it in into the tub. Their website says it’s good for blood circulation, reducing the appearance of cellulite, improving thyroid health, reducing symptoms of psoriasis, acne, eczema, and a myriad of other things!

Verdict: I really like this With Love From Angela box! Everything in it seems perfect for a spa day or a little natural pick-me-up. As far as value goes, all the items (without the lotion bar, since I couldn’t find a value for it) add up to $21.50. I’m excited about using every item in the box, so I’m okay with that value, even if it may not break even with the cost this time.

BEWARE. I purchased a six month subscription to this box at the end of February based on good reviews on multiple websites. I have yet to receive a box and have received no response to multiple emails regarding shipping status. Now, in hindsight, it looks very likely that this is a scam. The website is actually pretty bare bones, just enough to look real and their social media sites are not functional. It looks like they just sent out some really nice boxes to bloggers to get exposure, collect some cash on fake subscriptions and from what I can tell from comments on various sites, no actual customer has received anything. There was just the one set of boxes that went out to bloggers around the end of January/beginning of February. Bugger – I hate getting duped but am hoping this will prevent anyone else from having the same happen to them. I am going to post this same comment on the various websites where reviews were done that I am aware of to try and help spread awareness.

Haley – Do you know what is going on with this box? The Facebook and twitter page are gone. I feel bad for those that subscribed and hope it all works out. Bummer, because the box interests me.

I passed on this box because it reminded me of another box that my sister liked that had many issues. I can’t say that the two are related, but they are somewhat similar.

I just went to their FB page and they removed my post asking why I haven’t received anything. There were a few comments from people who also purchased a 3 month sub but have not received anything. I was hoping they were just behind, but it seems a little shady that they will remove the posts, but not bother responding to either emails or posts.

I’m in the same boat as Susie! Anybody know anything??

I purchased a three month subscription to this box in the beginning of February. I have not received a box yet. I emailed them for the first time at the end of February. I was told that they were running behind. I have emailed a couple of times since then and have not received a reply back. I posted on their FB page and noticed that a couple of other people are having the same problem and not getting any response. Do you know by chance if this company is still in business? Or if they are just really slow about getting boxes out? I was really looking forward to this box!

The massage bars at Lush are very similar and are around $10, I use them for lotion when I want a nice scent 🙂

I have a natural lotion bar I bought at a farmer’s market and it’s the greatest thing ever. The scent is wonderful, but it moisturizes sooooo well and lasts forever!

Always looking for a new natural skin care and bath & body box yet value is very very important to me, value has to exceed 30% off of what i paid including shipping in order for me to want a box. Just incase there is 1 item I wont use in it. – If the value goes up and stays up, I’ll subscribe.
