Orange Glad Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Info

Orange Glad includes an informational card that details every item involved. One thing I also found interesting is that it also tells you how soon they recommend consuming it.

Orange Glad Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Biscuit

The Vagabond White Chocolate & Hazelnut – 3 oz (pack of 4), value: $4.50

Donsuemor Dipped Madeleine – .74 oz, value: $.65

Both of these treats were delicious, but my favorite between the two is the Dipped Madeleine. I liked the biscotti okay – I think it will be better with a cup of coffee!

Orange Glad Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Brittle

Mighty Brittle Orange Blossom Flavor – 2.5 oz, value: $6

Sucre Macbubl – .74 oz

This macbubl is my favorite new discovery in the box! It’s described as an inside-out macaron. The outside is chocolate, then there’s a gooey chocolate ganache inside, and a crunchy delicious cookie in the middle. They don’t sell online (until June 2015), but apparently you can find them at Whole Foods!

Orange Glad Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Sugar Daddy

Sugardaddy’s Auburn Original Brunette Sweetie - $4.75

This brownie has some espresso in it, and pieces of roasted walnut. This sounds like it would be especially yummy warmed on some ice cream!

Verdict: Overall, I was really happy with this month’s Orange Glad box. All of the treats were very interesting and I liked almost all of them quite a bit. The value adds up to about $16 (without considering a value for the macbubl, since I couldn’t find it). I wish it had a little more value, but I think this box tends to be more about discovery and featuring small businesses than value. Plus, they say they send 5 treats every time, so the box still meets my expectations.

What do you think about the January Orange Glad box?

This wasn’t my favorite Orange Glad box, I hated the might brittle, the orange flavor was not for me. I loved the brownie, madeleine, and sucre macbubl. I haven’t tried the biscotti yet.

That Mac Bubl was amazzzzzing. Their website said they had them at the whole foods near me, but they did not. Bummer.

I think the value’s there. I went to order something from last month’s box from the bakery but would have had to spend a lot in shipping(like $12 on top of a $20 order). This brings me a sampler of treats from all around the country for one package deal without having to put a thought into it. I did get the 40% off deal they had and my only regret is not ordering the double portion!

LOVED the biscotti. I planned to just taste one, then somehow finished the whole package in one sitting.
