Rosewood Bowl
Hans Candlesticks
Here’s how both the plaster projects turned out for me! They were a little involved but still easy to manage. I really love how the bowl turned out! It makes a really pretty catch-all bowl, and I kind of like how the opening is a little off-center.
The candlesticks are pretty – definitely modern and minimalist. However, I think the pop-top containers that you use to make the candle holes ended up a little tilted while the plaster set; I’m concerned that candles would be noticeably tilted if I put them in here. There may be a way I can even out the bottoms by making a little more plaster and pouring in just a little.
Noma Bracelet
Jensen Necklace
The jewelry projects this month are probably some of my favorite pieces of jewelry I’ve ever made from For the Makers! The photo is a little washed out, but the stones on the bracelet are white/grey and pale pink, and the necklace has a pale, pink leather cord and the pendant is a pretty speckled turquoise. I love them both.
Here’s a close-up with a little better lighting.
Verdict: This was a really fun month from For the Makers. The projects were all pretty simple and didn’t take too long. I really love how everything turned out for me, and I’m looking forward to wearing the jewelry pieces.
