BabeBoxx Subscription Box Review - February 2015 Organic

Urban Oreganics Cleansing Grains – .5 oz?, value: $1.40?

Urban Oreganics Green Tea Facial Cream – .7 oz?, value: $9.10?

(These containers don’t list a weight, so I had to estimate the size and values.)

Urban Organics makes all small-batch, vegan, and gluten-free products! I really like the packaging and portions of these samples. The cleansing grains smell nice and feel like they work into a good, gentle exfoliating cleanser.

This Green Tea cream absorbs really nicely and made my skin feel soft and cool. I’m happy with being introduced to this brand and am thinking about checking out more of their products!

BabeBoxx Subscription Box Review - February 2015 Lip Gloss

Puur Body Fit Me Sweetly Vegan Body Butter – 2 oz, value: $1.56

Crush Cosmetics Cake Pink Coral Lip Gloss – 11 ml (Full Size!), value: $9.95

Crush Cosmetics Mineral Eye Shadow in Arabian – 5g (Full Size!), value: $5.85

This body butter is awesome – it smells amazing and it absorbs really well! It feels very hydrating and isn’t oily or anything. This is probably my favorite new discovery.

The lip gloss actually smells like cake! It doesn’t taste like anything, and it isn’t sticky one bit.

I like mineral eye shadows, and this one swatches quite nicely. I’ll always believe that primers make any eye shadow better, including this one, but the opacity for this shadow builds well. It’s shimmery and pretty versatile, too.

Verdict: Overall, I’m surprisingly impressed with this BabeBoxx! I actually love all the items and look forward to trying them out (and trying out more products from each brand). The portions are all really nice, too, and the packaging of each product felt quality as well. As far as value goes, everything adds up to (roughly) $27.76, which I’m happy with. The only thing I have to comment on is that their website clearly shows more well-known brands/products like Juice Beauty and a Beauty Blender – I hope we see things like those in future boxes!

What do you think about this BabeBoxx?

I’m a long time subscriber to them and I just realized the same thing. I have a tracking code but no update.

If you sign up for the newsletter, they will send you a 10% off code for any subscription. For example, the 6 month subscription is 127.50 but at the 10% coupon, it’s $114.74. This is ~$19.13 a box. I have not made a decision with this box because it’s fairly new and 6 months is a bit of a commitment.

I believe I read on their Facebook page that this is actually the March 2015 box.

The almost break even value, is not convincing enough to subscribe to this box. This subscription has potential , yet before I sub I’d want to see at least 3 more months of reviews with the value increasing by at least 25%. For now I’ll stick with the eco emi deluxe beauty box for $22 which has surprised me with the wonderful full sized products from great brands.

I am going to watch the reviews for the next few month because it is at a higher price point. I am glad to see a review for it and hope to see more.

I think I’ll need to see a few more months before deciding. The value this month was close to break even, which isn’t a great selling point from my perspective. I would need to see higher value to price ratio boxes before I subbing. That said, I really like the variety as well as the generous sizes they included.

Juice Beauty is listed under their brand partners list on the About us page so I’m sure you’ll see that in a future box.
