Sea Salt Cassava Pops - .8 oz, value: $1.67
Somersaults Salty Pepper - .6 oz, value: $.58
These Cassava Pops are a potato-chip alternative made with yucca root (aka “cassava”). The texture is really light and reminds me of puffed chips. The flavor is really similar, and they’re gluten-free!
Big Slice Energy Kettle Cooked Apples – 4.5 oz, value: $1.50
Dark Chocolate Cacao Nibs – 1 oz, value: $.91
These Big Slice apples were really interesting! They’re made with raspberry, hibiscus, and green coffee extract! They were really sweet, fruity, and had lots of liquid (almost like pie-filling consistency) in the pack, too. These made me think they’d be extra good warmed and on top of pancakes or desserts.
The dark-chocolate covered cacao nibs were delicious – I’m a chocolate lover and these were definitely my favorite discovery in the box.
LUNA Mini bar in Chocolate Dipped Coconut - .81 oz, value: $1?
Bobalu In-Shell Almonds – 1 oz, value: $.76
I love LUNA bars, so I was happy to see them featured. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of coconut so I’ll pass this off to my husband!
Stash Breakfast in Paris Black Tea – 1 tea bag, value: $.22
Alter Ego Velvet Truffle – 1 truffle, value: $.49
Tea and truffles - I’m a big fan of both! I’m not sure tea counts as a snack to me, but I’ll use it, so I’m fine with it.
As always, Love With Food included a handful of coupons and promo cards.
Verdict: Overall, I liked this Love With Food box. It had a lot of variety, and it contained some old favorites and new discoveries. As far as value goes, everything adds up to $7.11. If you’re looking for a high-value snack box, this isn’t it. I find that Love With Food is generally best at introducing me to new, healthier snack options that I love enough to order full-size. Plus, each box purchased helps to feed hungry children, so I know there’s a good cause involved, too.
