Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Jan 2015 Info

Each box comes with a brochure detailing the theme and the items selected for that month.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Jan 2015 POp

Sea Salt Cassava Pops - .8 oz, value: $1.67

Somersaults Salty Pepper - .6 oz, value: $.58

These Cassava Pops are a potato-chip alternative made with yucca root (aka “cassava”). The texture is really light and reminds me of puffed chips. The flavor is really similar, and they’re gluten-free!

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Jan 2015 SLice

Big Slice Energy Kettle Cooked Apples – 4.5 oz, value: $1.50

Dark Chocolate Cacao Nibs – 1 oz, value: $.91

These Big Slice apples were really interesting! They’re made with raspberry, hibiscus, and green coffee extract! They were really sweet, fruity, and had lots of liquid (almost like pie-filling consistency) in the pack, too. These made me think they’d be extra good warmed and on top of pancakes or desserts.

The dark-chocolate covered cacao nibs were delicious – I’m a chocolate lover and these were definitely my favorite discovery in the box.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Jan 2015 Luna

LUNA Mini bar in Chocolate Dipped Coconut - .81 oz, value: $1?

Bobalu In-Shell Almonds – 1 oz, value: $.76

I love LUNA bars, so I was happy to see them featured. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of coconut so I’ll pass this off to my husband!

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Jan 2015 Tea

Stash Breakfast in Paris Black Tea – 1 tea bag, value: $.22

Alter Ego Velvet Truffle – 1 truffle, value: $.49

Tea and truffles - I’m a big fan of both! I’m not sure tea counts as a snack to me, but I’ll use it, so I’m fine with it.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Jan 2015 Coupons

As always, Love With Food included a handful of coupons and promo cards.

Verdict: Overall, I liked this Love With Food box. It had a lot of variety, and it contained some old favorites and new discoveries. As far as value goes, everything adds up to $7.11. If you’re looking for a high-value snack box, this isn’t it. I find that Love With Food is generally best at introducing me to new, healthier snack options that I love enough to order full-size. Plus, each box purchased helps to feed hungry children, so I know there’s a good cause involved, too.

What do you think about the January Love With Food box?

I tried my first box this month and am happy with it.There was enough in the box to share with my family and give the Luna (gluten-free) to my sister. I’m willing to try another month.

I found the apples at Target and bought the other flavors to try. My favorite is the French toast flavor. Nice cinnamon/maple flavor which I preferred to the raspberry. I really liked the love with food box.

Did anyone else notice they had kind of an internationally-sourced theme going on this month? We had the regular box and almost all, if not all, items were from another country.

LWF continues to be one of my favorite subscriptions! The value is usually around the cost of the box, but it usually seems like more to me–probably because I always love most of the items in the box. This month, those Somersaults were delicious! I was apprehensive because they look like bird treats lol, but man so good! Also loved the Luna bar. It wasn’t overly coconut-y at all.

I get the deluxe box and I really enjoy it. Not every month is a winner but the last two months have been pretty good. This month I loved the chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, they were freaking delicious. The somersaults I had were a santa fe something that were really good with a little heat to them. The crunchy mac n cheese things didn’t taste like mac n cheese at all. I share the box with my family and usually give all the dark chocolate to my mom. I like the deluxe box better, because you get different things sometimes.

I have been with Love with Food for quiet some times but for quiet a few months now I have been disappointed. Seeing the value of this box has pretty much made me decide to unsubscribe. I love the idea of the box but the food has been rather lacking in taste since the last half of 2014. The send weird flavors that I hate or send the same thing nearly every month that just lacks overall in flavor. I have been holding out hoping they get better but it’s not worth me throwing away a whole box of food each month.

Honestly, it doesn’t even pay to put a value on any food subscription box. They never really add up to a high value. They are more about discovering new foods and brands you may not have tried. While I always use a discount code if there is one available, I do love Love with Food. My whole little family shares it, and my 2 year old gets super excited to see that box each month. The prices and sales in the shop are also really good. Customer service is amazing, and they have a number with live people.

This month was a bust for me, which is unfortunate because we upgraded to the deluxe this month… Chocolate is always a yes for us, and my husband liked everything but the apples. The pops didn’t taste like chips to me at all. They tasted like hush puppies or seasoned turnips which I don’t like.

LWF is one of my favorite boxes of any category. The curation is spot-on, and even if I don’t like everything in the box, there’s always a few things I love.

I don’t care about value as long as it is within a reasonable amount. I love this box. The fact that they donate a meal with every box sold makes it a winner. I loved the apples and ordered 10 more through the sale they had. This was my favorite box I have received from them so far!

I’m munching on those chocolate covered cacao nibs right now. They’re delicious! And I was pleasantly surprised to see that their fat and sugar content was so low.

I just subscribed to Love with Food with their free-month offer, but I’m thinking of unsubscribing already. That’s a pretty low value. Then again, I have a grocery discount store close to me that features a lot of quirky products, so if I want to try to something new, it’s not hard.
