IndulgeMeBox is a new, Canadian lifestyle subscription box that sends a combination of items like skin care, makeup, accessories, and surprise gifts.

This box was sent us this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

IndulgeMeBox Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Info

This IndulgeMeBox also includes an info card that details the items in the box.

IndulgeMeBox Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Earrings

Karma Hoop Earrings – value: $12 (CAD)

Braid String With Feather – value: $8 (CAD)

Both of these items scream 70’s/hippy to me. I feel like both of these fall under a very specific taste and, unfortunately, that taste isn’t mine. (I’m also using the values from the info card/IndulgeMeBox’s shop because I had a hard time finding these anywhere else online.)

IndulgeMeBox Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Pretty Tea

Terra Tribe Green & White Dry Mask – sample

Lady in Blue Tea from Pretty Tea – 25 grams, value: $2.95 (USD)

This mask is gluten free, vegan, and 90% all-natural. It has lots of antioxidants and ingredients for repairing environmental damage and such, so I’m excited to trying it out.

The tea is made with whole leaf black tea, blue mellow blossoms, lavender flowers, and bergamot flavor.

IndulgeMeBox Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Beach House

Naiad Soap Arts Beach House Sugar Whipped Soap – 2 oz, value: $1.29 (USD)

Fresh Cream Lip Balm (coral with gold shimmer) - $3.51 (CAD)

This sugar whipped soap is a body scrub that smells really clean and fresh. This is probably my favorite discovery in the box!

The lip balm has a really pretty color to it. It’s pretty sheer and has a little shimmer. It’s really nice, plus it has no sulfates, parabens, or petrochemicals!

Verdict: This was an interesting IndulgeMeBox. I like most of the items, but I think the earrings and feather braided string kind of made this box a mixed bag for me. As far as value goes, I totaled everything to be about $25 USD. I’m okay with that value. I wish most of that value didn’t come from items I won’t use, but I know they fit someone else’s taste and I’ll still use most of the items included anyway.

What do you think about the January IndulgeMeBox?

I’ve been looking for information on IndulgeMe, which brought me here. II just got an email today stating that due to uncontrollable shipping issues we have difficulties in shipping your gift boxes, and then offering me a refund on the remaining box, which was part of a 3 month gift sub.

Not impressed.

I got an email today that said “We hope that you enjoyed Indulge Me Boxes so far but We are sorry to inform you that as of 1st march we no longer will be shipping our subscription boxes to your province. It was a really difficult decision for us to take but we couldn’t control the situations and had to take this difficult decision. But we would really want to thank you for all your support. We were very thankful and grateful to have you as a subscriber. As we are not shipping subscription boxes but we still continue our operations and will just provide gift boxes. You will receive any balance you have on your subscription account within a week’s time. We are sorry to let you go as a subscriber.” This was followed by another email informing me that my recurring plan has ended and a third email with a refund for the last charge they just billed me for.

Jill @ CDN Box Addict

She started charging $5/month for Canadian shipping as of January. And as Tonya said, as of March Indulge Me will be sending a box filled with their own line of homemade skincare and makeup.

Their line doesn’t happen to be the Naiad skin care does it? I would be interested in that.

Shipping to Canada is not free, unfortunately. On the website it specifies $5 per box for shipping.

It actually interests me more in the new format!

Unfortunately, Indulge Me will be changing format as of March 2015. Instead of a lifestyle box, they will become a handmade skincare and makeup box. The owner/curator sent an email to her subscribers at the beginning of the month detailing the changes.
