Hero Crate Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Mug

Marvel Comics Air Freshener – Value $2

Captain America Mug – Value $12

Well this is the second time we’ve received a Captain America air freshener in a subscription box!

While we probably won’t use the air freshener, my husband LOVES the mug!

Hero Crate Subscription Box Review - December 2014 POP

POP Funko Vinyl Captain America – Retail Value $11 (On Amazon for $9.15)

My husband is a huge POP collector, and a Captain America fan, but surprisingly he didn’t already have this one! (He has the Winter Soldier movie version). So this item was a huge win!

Hero Crate Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Tee

Cap’n Ameri-Crunch Tee – Value $12?

I believe this tee was made custom for the box, so I’m estimating on value.

Verdict: My husband is a big Marvel and Captain America fan, so as soon as I opened this box I knew it would be a hit! The value is around $37 – not too bad for the $30 a month cost.

What did you think of the December Hero Crate?

  1. I’m pretty sure that this month’s box is The Punisher….I got it for a surprise for my husband. I hope it’s as good as this box. Thank you for your review.

  2. The Captain Ameri-Crunch tee has been available on in the gallery for $18.

  3. I wish I could just get this box! I adore Captain America.

  4. My older son likes this box which we did not order. He loves his Zelda box from them. We both like this idea because it is a guarantee that he likes all the items. He also likes that it is centered around one hero.

  5. Darn it! I subbed this one a little too late. I would have loved Captain America. I’m not so geeked by the idea of Hellboy. Maybe it will be a different darkhorse hero?

  6. My 4 year old son loves his Captain America air fresher from the Dec Loot Crate. He hung it near his bed. He received it as a stocker stuffer and was super excited. 🙂

  7. Do they ever preview which hero they’re featuring? I’m looking for a sub for my 12 year old son and the geek & gamer boxes are too all over the map in products and themes. I love the focus of this box but it would be an all or nothing hit/flop if you don’t love the featured hero.

    • They usually hint at the topic, next months topic is a Dark Horse Comics character.
Idk, the items usually seem cheap for the price. 1upbox and Geekfuel are both cheaper with better products.

      • I’am guessing it will be Hellboy.

      • Thanks for the tips, I’ll check them out!

      • I agree with you that 1upbox and geekfuel are a better value. Like EC said, “all or nothing hit/flop if you don’t love the featured hero” for this sub box.

  8. The shirt is probably $20. It’s part of a line of Avengers cereal shirts. I have the Loki Charms shirt lol.
