I love this Dachshund card for Valentine’s Day – it’s so cute!

One little thing that I really appreciate about this subscription is that most of the envelopes are pre-glued strip-removal envelopes – AKA no having to lick envelopes:

I love the different color and pattern envelopes they include with these cards. Here is the flipside of the Happy B-Day Bro card:

I always need birthday cards, so I’m glad they included two in this month’s mailing.

I like that they included Valentine’s Day items in the January box – with International shipping I’m sure not everyone would get the February mailer in time.

A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail Subscription Review – Jan 2015 Stickers Stickers

Cheese Print

These stickers have a slightly translucent background, and feel a little bit like washi tape. I’m not sure exactly what to do with them – I wish they would have included some suggestions in their reveal video. (Maybe I’ll try one or two of them wrapped around my pencil holder).

Verdict: I am consistently impressed with the value this subscription provides, and the unique creative designs! I signed up for an annual subscription since the savings were so substantial ($15 a month vs $20), and that means that each item in this box only cost me $1.25. It’s definitely worth that price for me.

What do you think of the January Happy Mail shipment?

  1. I SO wish I had the birthday “bro” card for my brother’s birthday! It’s SO him (including being reminiscent of his current state of facial hair!)

  2. This is one of my favorite subscriptions. My only issue is I don’t really like the flat cards. It’s awkward to flip over a birthday card and not able to open it!

    • mail it with a scratch off so that it’s an extra something something! 🙂

    • I agree with flat cards it don’t seem like its a card. But this is a great deal for $15 you get a lot!”

  3. I decided to cancel my wantable intimates subscription (I’ve returned the last 3) and justified getting this subscription that way, I’d been eyeing it since they debuted it. This was the first one I got and I was very happy with it. I try to send out more snail mail for birthdays because I know people appreciate it and this will definitely help. My favorite part though is even though it’s a yearly subscription they charge you every month instead of one lump sum. It’s hard to come up with that large amount when you’re on a tight budget.

    • That’s one of my favorite things about it, too!

  4. Does anyone know when their other subscription, Messy Box, is set to launch? I check almost every day, haha, I’m intrigued to see what will be included for making “imperfect photo books.” It would be much appreciated if anyone knows, thank you!

    • I saw in one of their comments that they were aiming for a March launch I believe.

  5. So I recently subscribed to Haute Papier’s quarterly Haute Box (speaking of, possible to add this one to your sub box list?) for about the same price , and mailed out per quarter. I got my first mailing this month and though they are really nice cards, I have to say that I think I may feel a smidge more impressed by the variety of items you received with this subscription. In any case, hoping they come out with another code as I’d love to give them a try!

  6. Oh man, I hope someone puts the Let’s Make Out card up for swap. I need that so desperately!

    • No can do! I already tucked it in my husband’s suitcase this morning with a note for him to hurry home! 😛

  7. Loved this package so much that I just subscribed! I think it’s an awesome deal for the price. I love sending cards to friends, and I also thought that there might be some things I could frame for my apartment. I’m excited!

    • I really like their combination of cards and framable prints. Plus some of the cards themselves would make nice little framed prints! 🙂

  8. I NEED THIS ahh awesome sauce

  9. I just subscribed! You could use the decorative tape as a header (above) where you write your message so the recipient could keep it rather than throw it out with the envelope.

  10. This is such a fun subscription. If it was possible to improve it, an insert with ideas on how to use things like the stickers and what to do with the art prints would be wonderful.

  11. I would use those stickers like washi tape to seal the envelopes!

    • Oh yea – that makes total sense! I must not be thinking clearly today! 🙂

  12. My grandma always decorates the envelope with stickers. Maybe those would look nice across the back where it seals up…?
