Fair Treasure Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Hat

Fair Treasure Exclusive Perfect Slouchy Hat – Value $30?

This hat was commissioned by Fair Treasure for the box, and it is very well-made. It is super slouchy/large though – I can’t tell yet if I can pull of the look – and most hats are usually tight on me!

Fair Treasure Subscription Box Review – January 2015 Candles

Thumbprint Artifacts Hand Painted Taper Candles – Value $10

These candles are beautiful (I’m not sure if this item will vary in style from box to box, but I’m thrilled with this blue and white version).

Verdict: I’m estimating on the value of the knitted cap, but I’d say this box has a retail value of about $40 or more. I think these are both really lovely items, and if I don’t end up keeping the cap it will make a wonderful gift.

What do you think of the January Fair Treasure box?

  1. That hat looks so cozy!

  2. My hat was green and so huge it fell off my head if I moved too fast, so what I did was stitch a line of elastic around the band of the hat about 3 times, just to bring the band in closer a little. It worked great, any fabric store will carry transparent elastic thread. I like that it is merino wool and anchors, it’s very warm and soft. I also got tapers but mine were white on white, very elegant. I felt that my box was worth every penny, even with adjusting the hat.

    • Ok, in my previous comment anchors should have been angora, darn autocorrect.

  3. Because i received a similar hat a few weeks ago in my popsugar box, the timing of this hat is not as ideal as it could have been.

I wish they would offer a customized box for that price. I’ve been reading the reviews, and thinking of joining, what is stopping me from joining is I dont want to get stuck with one of two items in the box being an item I can not use. If there would be a guarentee at the very least 3 items in the box I might consider signing up. Right now I’ll skip it. I dont like signing up for 3 month plans to get a lower price unless I can customize the box or the value has been at least 50% more then the paid for price. Gifts are great, yet I have to many gifts to give from the boxes i sub to.

    • If anyone wants to swap or sell their hat, I’m always in the market for a good slouchy beanie for cold weather!
