Amoda Tea Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Ginger Cream

Ball & Chain Oolong Tea by Indie Tea

Ginger Cream Black Tea by Aromatica Fine Teas

This Ball & Chain tea is made with organic Se Chung oolong, medjool dates, and marigolds. I haven’t tried this one yet, but it smells really good (especially because of the dates).

The Ginger Cream tea is the most caffeinated blend in the box, and is made with black tea, vanilla bean, and ginger pieces. I tend to like teas that have ginger in them, and this one’s no exception!

Amoda Tea Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Medley

Wild Woman Black Tea by Tay Tea

Celebration Medley Roobios Tea by Sloane Tea

Wild Woman is a blend of Ceylon tea, wild blueberries, black currants, hibiscus, elderberries, and cornflower petals. This tea has some of my favorite ingredients in a tea blend (I love berry and floral teas), and it’s actually my favorite in the box!

The Celebration Medley is caffeine-free (since it’s made with rooibos tea) and has apple, orange, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and rose in it. This is perfect for the winter/holiday months. All the spices make this tea very warm and cozy, and it’s my second favorite!

Amoda Tea Subscription Box Review - December 2014 Sweet

Also included was a little roll of tea napkins and a small, spiced marshmallow from Sweet Petite Confections (which I couldn’t find in their online shop).

Verdict: I really like Amoda Teas. The packaging is really smart – I love that each bag of tea has portion measurements, steeping times, and tells you when to add the tea to the water (temperature guide). The selection of teas was varied, and I was glad to see that they included a “holiday” tea (the Celebration Medley) as well.

What do you think about Amoda Tea?

Looks expensive. 12 one-cup servings of tea, a marshmallow and filters. The ginger cream black tea sounds like a tasty combo though. my work mug holds ~1.5 cups, thats 6 dif tea trips, i’d polish off $18 worth of tea in 2-3 days.

I think those ‘napkins’ are actually tea filters…

The price of $18 is in CAD, if your buying from the US your actually going to be billed about $15 USD. I know because I’ve ordered from them before. The site doesn’t do conversion of money, just thought I’d let everyone know
