Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Dec 2014 Season

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Dec 2014 Info

Each box comes with a brochure detailing the theme and the items selected for that month.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Dec 2014 Cookie Chips

Cookie Chips by Hannah Max – 2 oz, value: $1.50

Kettle Corn by Oogies – 3 oz, value: $1.60

These cookies are Hannah Max’s original flavor – they taste like crunchy sugar cookies. The bag says “Tastes like a cookie, eats like a chip,” which is nice, but one serving is only 5 of these tiny cookies – and we all know that you can never just have just 1 chip! These are probably a treat best shared – they also recommend using them in desserts and such, too!

Kettle corn is a favorite in my family, and this brand is really good. It’s made with non-GMO corn and trans fat free.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Dec 2014 Next

Pitted Green Olives by Olympos – 1.05 oz, value: $1.20

Nocciolata: Organic Hazelnut Spread with Cocoa & Milk – foil packet

Next by Nature Dark Chocolate Coconut Smiles – 1 oz, value: $1.30

I don’t like olives, but any time I get gourmet olives in subscription boxes, I try them just to see if some variation might be different. Unfortunately, these still just aren’t for me.

Nutella is always in my home, and I like to mix into caramel latte-flavored Greek yogurt to make is a healthy (ish) dessert! Well, this Nocciolata is even better than Nutella – smoother, and I like the taste better, too. I also love that I can read everything on the ingredients label. It’s made of Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Hazelnut Paste, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Skim Milk Powder, Organic Cocoa Powder, Organic Cocoa Butter, Sunflower Lecithin, and Organic Vanilla Extract.

I’m not a big fan of coconut, but the dark chocolate pieces are really not too bad. My husband likes coconut, and he really liked these dark chocolate Coconut Smiles by Next by Nature.

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Dec 2014 Sweets

Espresso Candies by Bali’s Best – 2 pieces

Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels by Liddabit Sweets – 2 pieces, value: $1.06

Honey Acres Chocolate Honey Mints – 2 pieces

This espresso candy was surprisingly good! They’re soft inside, and actually taste like a cup of coffee.

Liddabit Sweets is a brand I’ve seen in subscription boxes a couple times. I’m not personally a huge fan of solid caramel pieces, but Love with Food recommends squishing these into the middle of a cookie before baking – which sounds amazing to me.

I love that all these Chocolate Honey Mints are made of is Dark Unsweetened Chocolate (no dairy or sugar), raw honey, and a natural peppermint oil!

(I didn’t specifically include a value for the espresso candies or the mints because they’re sold by weight online, and there’s not an estimate of how many pieces are in a pound.)

Love with Food Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Dec 2014 Coupons

As always, Love With Food included a handful of coupons and promo cards.

Verdict: I like this month’s Love With Food box alright. Their December brochure talks about hoping your December is filled with lots of holiday treats, which explains why this month’s box is so heavily sweet-filled. As far as value goes, this month’s guesstimated value adds up to about $9. If you’re looking for a high-value snack box, this isn’t it. I find that Love With Food is generally best at introducing me to new, healthier snack options that I love enough to order full-size, and when that actually happens, I don’t mind the lack of high value too much. In this month’s case, I know I’m ordering more of the Nocciolata!

What do you think about the December Love With Food box?

I decided to give this a try.

Loved this box, even the olives that no one else liked! (try them with a cheese plate). I just wish they had something a little Christmasy in a Dec. box, peppermint or candy canes etc.

I got the deluxe box this month and it had chocolate chip cookie chips that were amazing! First thing I ate out of the box and they’re already sold out on their website. I really liked this month a lot, but I love sweets. I don’t eat olives so gave them to my mom who loves them, excited to try the rest of the stuff.

For anyone who loved those chocolate covered honey mints, I saw something that looked exactly like them in Trader Joe’s today. At some point I will test them (as I did love them in my box) but today I managed to exercise restraint in the sweet department (which is a rarity).

I agree about the value and the introduction to new products. I have found 4-5 snacks I love through LWF and now buy regularly.

I loved this month’s box. Everything but the Olives were delicious (we didn’t dare to put those in our mouths)… My 2 year old, husband, I love trying the new things together. You’re right about the value. Although the curation is good and they do donate a meal to charity for every box, I won’t buy Love with Food without a promo code. I have gotten August, December, and am signed up for January, but all for only $2. As long as you are not a current subscriber you can usually use new codes.
