Estilo Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Box

Estilo is a new, monthly greeting card subscription service that sends you handmade cards from independent artists all over the world. Each month, they send up to 3 handmade cards, stamps, and seals. For this month, they partnered with the MD Anderson Cancer Center for their Children’s Art Project, where children make cards themselves and proceeds from them go to help the emotional, educational, and recreational needs of the patients. You can read more about this project here.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Estilo Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Thank You

Congratulations Wedding Card from Bears Eat Berries value: $4.50

Thank You Card

Wedding cards are something I feel like I never have on hand when I need them, so I’m so glad to get one! I also think the colors, pale pink and grey, are very cute.

Estilo Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Happy

Happy Birthday Card from Paiper Cuts

Snowman Card made by Jacey (age 11) at the MD Anderson Children’s Art Project

At first, I thought both of these cards were made by children from the MD Anderson Children’s Art Project because the Happy Birthday card looks handmade, but simply has the words “Paiper Cuts” written on the bottom of the back, which I can’t find anything about online. It’s still a cute card, though!

This snowman card is the featured card from the children’s project this month (it has information about the project printed on the back of it). It was made by a child named Jacey, who is 11 and from Pauline, SC.

Estilo also includes stamps and seals for your cards (which I love).

Verdict: This is the first month for Estilo, and I like it so far! It’s hard to do a specific value breakdown for these cards, but I the fact that they give back and featured a charity this month definitely makes me feel good about this subscription. I also really appreciate that they include stamps! I’m looking forward to seeing more from Estilo in the future.

I like the concept and the cards. Are the cards blank on the inside?

They’re for charity. Hence the price.

I like the idea for this box. I wish the seals didn’t have the company name on them. Seals with pictures, embossing or a pattern would be cuter.

I love that they include stamps. Can you believe that the self-service stamp machines at BOTH post offices I go to were broken AND that after waiting in long lines, they were out of most stamp designs (even the ones on the signage directly above the cashiers I spoke with)? Yep, that really happened, and I was shopping in October (ahead of most holiday shoppers).
