BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Box

BuddhiBox is a new, monthly subscription box for yogis. Every month, they will send you products to enhance your yoga practice and lifestyle. They only partner with businesses that follow ethical and conscious standards of production. Their subscription is also pretty customizable: when you sign up, they ask about the type of yoga you practice, your color and size preferences, and your birthday. Additionally, a portion of all boxes sold goes to benefit the One Love Movement, whose mission is to create a better future for at-risk youth and women populations.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Info

Every BuddhiBox comes with an informational card that details each item included in the box.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Yoga

Yoga Digest Magazine – value: $5.99

Because this is their debut box, I’m not sure if every box comes with a magazine, or if was just a part of this one. Either way, I’m happy to have it! I love magazines.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Recipe

Also included in the box was a recipe for raw mint chocolate bars, from RAW Etc.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review - November 2014 About

On the opposite side of the recipe is a little information about RAW Etc.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Coupon

BuddhiBox subscribers also got a $50 off coupon for the Northwest Yoga Conference in Seattle, WA on March 5-8, 2015!

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Socks

Great Soles Yoga Socks – value: $13

I’m a fan of these socks – I’ve always had a problem with my hands and feet slipping just a bit when doing certain yoga poses. I always thought it was my mat, but I’m excited to see if these help fix the problem! These socks were featured in FabFitFun not too long ago, as well.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Candle

Coye Candle Co. Blood Orange Soy Travel Candle - 4 oz?, value: $10

Real Beauty for a Cause Lemon Coconut Sugar Scrub – 4 oz?, value: $16?

This candle smells amazing! I love little candles with lids, and also prefer soy candles so this was a complete hit for me. Also, the fragrance comes straight from pure essential oils! (The reason I’m not 100% sure on the size is because there isn’t one on the label. Instead, I estimated the 4 oz based off of the info card’s value and the full-size value.)

This sugar scrub is listed on the info card as a $16 value but the full-size, 4-oz scrub on Real Beauty For a Cause’s website values it at $14.99. Since this container doesn’t list a weight on the label, either, I’m just going to list BuddhiBox’s value of it, with a grain of salt. That being said, this also smells incredible. I feel like the Lemon Coconut would definitely help me feel energized after using it! Mine came a little dried out, but I know I can always add a little bit of olive oil to help make it usable again.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Jo Sha

Jo-Sha Essential Oil Wipes – 4 wipes, value: ~$2 total

I love these wipes. In the last couple years, my family has become very into essential oils, and all of these smell great. You can use them to clean your yoga mat, feel refreshed after a workout, or use them for your hands and feet.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review - November 2014 Revolution

Dye Ties Groovy Hair Tie Collection – value: $12

Raw Revolution Organic Bar in Cranberry Almond & Coconut – 1.6 oz, value: $2

“I Love RAW REVOLUTION” stickers bonus items)

These hair ties are really cute colors, plus they’re the kind that are designed to not leave creases in your hair. I don’t tend to use these too often, but I know they’ll be great to pass along to friends.

Verdict: All in all, I’m impressed with the first BuddhiBox! I like everything included (to me, you can never go wrong with a candle in a subscription box!), and am excited to use them. The value totals up to $55, not including the value of the $50 off coupon for the yoga conference. I’m definitely happy with that value! I also love that they give back to a charity, and that they have a preference questionnaire when you sign up.

What do you think about the BuddhiBox?

I think they inflated a lot of the values to make things seem like a better value than they actually are. $12 value on 5 hair ties? Unbelievable.

I love essential oils! I buy my from Mountain Rose Herb. The items in this box appeal to me. I do not receive this subscription and do yoga more for fitness than as a lifestyle.

Haley – I like the way you presented this review.

This is their first box which was in November. I really liked it, but I’m even more excited for Decembers box! There is a yoga pose cookie cutter in there, how cute is that! Full spoilers can be accessed through their Facebook page!
