Kawaii Box Subscription Review – October 2014 Pouch

Love Letter Pencil Case

Polka Dot Face Cloth

This little pouch feels quite sturdy and I’m sure it will be very useful for storing all the other little bits and pieces of cute things that come in the box!

Kawaii Box Subscription Review – October 2014 Cupcakes

Jewelry Seal Cell Phone Fashion Stickers

Candy Hair Bands

3D Sweet Parade Stickers

These pearl stickers are cute, and the back of the packaging explains that they’re meant to be used on cell phones – while I wouldn’t personally put these on my own phone, I’m sure they’ll be cute decorations on something else.

Things like cupcakes and donuts seem to be trendy in this box; these stickers are definitely adorable and I wish I had a use for them myself! I’ll probably end up passing these along to my little sister, because I know they’ll probably get some great use and appreciation from her.

Kawaii Box Subscription Review – October 2014 Plush

Neko Dog Pencil Sharpener

Rilakkuma Squishy Charm

Nemuneko Mini Plush

The pencil sharpener has two barrels to sharpen different sizes of pencils. Also, the dog flips up to empty the shavings. However, there seems to be a gap between the holes and where the sharpeners start (maybe due to the round shape?) so I feel like shavings could fall out easily. This is probably something you should keep sitting on your desk or something or else it might get messy.

This squishy charm is a character called Rilakkuma, which seems to be a common feature in Asian-themed and Kawaii-themed boxes like this!

Kawaii Box Subscription Review – October 2014 Pen

Dog Card + Envelope

Puccho Chewy Candy in Grapefruit

Hello Kitty Pen

This chewy candy is interesting – it’s a yogurt candy with bits of grapefruit-flavored gummies throughout, which definitely gives it an interesting texture!

The Hello Kitty pen actually writes really well and the little charms are pretty cute – if I don’t end up using this myself, I know my little sister-in-law will love it!

The Verdict: I’ve reviewed a few Asian-themed boxes, but I think Kawaii Box is my favorite! Everything in it is most definitely kawaii (cute), and I know I can pass along whatever items I may not use myself. I wish there were an information card – hopefully with a little extra information I could do a cost breakdown, or at the very least be sure about what everything is! I like the curation of items because they’re just a bunch of cute, little things that anyone can use or appreciate, and not just all action figures or all food.

What do you think of this Kawaii Box?

I used to have a sub like this back in France, before we move here. The price was a tad more ( around 22. Dollars) but I liked it better. All the items in this one are super cute, but too many stickers and candy, which for me, makes the value of the box go down a bit. In my french one I would get more stationary ( notepads, sticky notes, lots of pens and pencils, pencils cases) .
It is nevertheless the best kawaii I’ve seen in the US, but sth is still. missing…
So in case someone from Kawaii box is reading, if you add a bit more solid stuff I’m definetly getting one for me and one for my daughter 🙂
