Dottie Box Subscription Box Review – November 2014 Heart

Cacao 7 Skinny Dark Chocolate 70% Cacao Bar - .32 oz, value: $3

The Cozy Project Cup Cozy Sleeve – value: $16

This is a really dark chocolate – I’m a chocoholic and this dark chocolate was definitely appreciated.

I couldn’t find this exact color combo on the Cozy Project’s Etsy Shop, so I linked to a similar one that I also love. This is probably my favorite item in the box! I have a soft spot for the combination of red and mint because they were my sister’s wedding colors, and this is a perfect item for fall – for yourself or as a gift.

Lillian Eve Nail Polish in Royal Affair – .5 oz (full size), value: $12

Botanical Bars Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Butter – 1 oz? value: $2

There’s no size listed on the body butter or the info card, but I’m guessing it’s about an ounce which is the same as the Botanical Bars travel body butters, valued at $2. It leaked in shipping, so I was glad that it came in its own little bag and didn’t damage anything else. The body butter itself seems to be a firm, creamy consistency but when I got it there was some kind of oil leaking from it. After cleaning/draining it, I really liked how it felt on my hands and the smell is amazing (I love vanilla). I was able to make it work so ultimately, this item is a win for me.

Verdict: This was an alright Dottie Box for me this month. I loved the mug cozy, but I was a little underwhelmed with the rest of the items. However, I will get some kind of use out of most of the other things, so I’m not too bummed. As far as value goes, the items add up to $33, which I’m happy with.

I like the box. I think Dottie Boxes are a fun little gift to oneself. I plan to resubscribe to either the regular or mini after the holidays.

I have a cousin that was young and passed away from cervical cancer. Her family would really appreciate this box and the knit sleeve. They often do handmade or homeade everything. This is really nice. The value does seem a little low though.
