Tea Box Express Subscription Review – October 2014
Tea Box Express is a monthly box of tea goodies. Each month brings a new box that always includes brand-name tea (whole leaf tea, either in loose leaf or pyramid bag form) and three or four tea accessories.
Tea Box Express’s debut box, October 2014, is themed “Bee Happy.” Not only does the box contain tea, gourmet honey, and bee-inspired accessories, but it also promotes positivity by encouraging subscribers to reflect on the happy parts of their lives.
The Subscription Box: Tea Box Express
The Cost: $25.50 for month-to-month, $74 for 3 months, and $139 for 6 months. Shipping is $5.99/month.
The Products: 1 quality tea and 3 or 4 accessories per month
Ships To: US
Each box has a card on the inside, with a description of the theme and items in the box.
Savannah Bee Co. Tea Honey – 3 oz, value: $5.50
Teatulia Black Tea – 16 tea bags (1.1 oz), value: $8.99
These items are both 100% natural or 100% organic, so I’m happy about that. I drink tons of tea once the weather starts turning in the fall, and I’m definitely looking forward to using these.
Bumble Bee Shortbread Cookie from Corso’s Cookies – 1 cookie, $5.63
Tea Pot Honey Dipper – value: $3.75
Yellow Tea Bag Rest – value: $2.80
I couldn’t find the exact tea bag rest online, but I did find a white one that looks really similar, so I based my value estimation from that.
This cookie is so super cute and it was really big, too. Their website says each cookie measures about 4-5 inches across!
I’m going to post this little print in my kitchen for me to see every day, but there’s also a place on the back labeled “my happy list,” to help you focus on the happy things in your life.
Verdict: The first box from Tea Box Express promotes two of my most favorite things: Tea and positivity! The theme is really well done and cohesive. I’m so excited to use everything in this box (the cookie’s already been eaten!) and even if I weren’t going to use them myself, this box would make a sweet gift. The value is a little over $26, which more than breaks even with the cost of the box.
What do you think about the Tea Box Express? Are you planning on snagging a debut box for yourself or a friend?
