Skandicrush Subscription Box Review – October 2014
The first Skandicrush box is here! I’ve been so excited about this subscription since I first learned about it – it’s always great to see that there are still awesome and unique ideas for new subscription boxes!
This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Subscription Box: Skandicrush
The Cost: $50
The Products: 1-4 modern Scandinavian housewares with a retail value of $65-$80.
Ships to: US only
This box came with a letter detailing the theme for the first box. This month is all about “Fika” meaning coffee break.
On the flip side of the card is an itemized list of everything included with retail prices.
Ferm Living Geometry Cups – Value $42 total
I love the simplicity of these cups. And they are 100% porcelain and dishwasher safe! I really like that they included two in the box so you can have a set. I imagine these will be a very in-demand swap item! (I’d love to get a set of 4!)
Areaware Diamond Box – Value $15
I’ve actually received one of these before in a box (I think a Coco Rocha Fancy Box), and it’s a lovely design. Since I already have one I’ll probably gift this one!
Sagaform Oak Tongs – Value $4
These are pretty straight forward, but always useful!
Sagaform Storage Box – Value $25 (Link to similar style)
I developed a love of Sagaform containers thanks to working at ModCloth, so this was the best surprise to find in the box! It’s going on display in the kitchen!
Verdict: The first box has a value of a little over $85! I think that’s great for a $50 box – especially considering there are no “filler” items in this box. I am seriously impressed with the first Skandicrush box and I really hope they stay this consistently awesome. What a unique and fun subscription box! What do you think of the first Skandicrush box?
