Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Subscription Box Review – Oct 2014 Pacifica

Pacifica Devocean Natural Lipstick in Rebel Sol – FULL SIZE! Value $14

I really love the formula of this lipstick – it is creamy, moisturizing, and has a slight hint of coconut! Unfortunately this shade is way too bright coral for me – but now I want to buy it in the Natural Mystic shade.

Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Subscription Box Review – Oct 2014 SW Basics

SW Basics Makeup Remover – 1 oz Value $7

Flo + Theo Lavender Flower Body Butter – 1 oz Value $7

This body butter is pretty solid in the jar (I’m thinking that’s due to the coconut oil), but as soon as I started applying it to my skin in melted and absorbed easily, leaving a sheen finish. I love the lavender scent too, so this is a great brand discovery for me. (And I’m always happy to get more SW Basics products! Based on the info card, it looks like subscribers will be getting one of various skincare minis).

Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Subscription Box Review – Oct 2014 Perfume

Forager Nectar Natural Eau de Perfume – Sample

This little sample must have leaked in shipping, because it arrived empty. It’s not a big deal to me though, since the vial still smells like the perfume and it was enough for me to know that I like the scent. I may try out other products from this brand.

Verdict: This month’s box has a value of about $28. While that’s lower than some past box values, I still think it is great for the $15 cost, and I’m happy with the sizes of everything (except the perfume of course!)

What did you think of the October Petit Vour box?

  1. Try mixing the lipstick with clear lip gloss/balm to make it more of a lip tint. I do this when I buy a shade of lipstick that I end up not loving(which Is a lot, I mean how are you supposed to know from the packaging, lol).

  2. I started my subscription late in the month, and I just received my box. I didn’t get an item from SW Basics, but I got a Schmidt’s deodorant in bergamot-lime instead. Very excited to try this! My body butter is in the mint scent, another of my favorites. I got the same color Pacifica, which is also a bit too bright for my skin tone. But I’m sure one of my book club friends will grab it. I got the perfume as well, and while I don’t usually wear perfume, this one isn’t bad. I got an additional item, the Lavina argan oil. All in all, this is a great box, and I hope future ones are as good!

  3. Maybe the first time I’ve seen a review of a box where I would have completely loved every item!

  4. My box arrived on Saturday. I’m slightly disappointed that I did not receive a SW product because I was looking forward to try out the line. I do like the items in the box and am pleased with my box overall. My products do match my October card.

My lipstick shade is Firebird and the body butter is lavender flower. I received a Schmidt’s lavender sage deodorant and argon oil by Lavina skin care. I will be keeping everything except the deodorant which I am giving to my sister because I still have a bunch of natural deodorants to use up. Enjoy the SW products which looks amazing!

    • I’ve ordered from SW Basics before, and just got an email from them indicating that Target has started carrying their products. They are available online now, and will be available in stores starting in March of next year. How exciting for this great company!

      • That is exciting! I looked online and am thinking about ordering a SW Basic item and a Kiwi Crate since I get free shipping from Target.

  5. I got the lipstick in xox, a light pink, a little summery for fall. Smells like the beach, so I’ll save it for warmer weather.

I got the body butter in Orange Harvest, which smells and feels AMAZING.

The S.W. I got is a suds-free cleanser, going up for swap.

Perfume is always a disappointment, but especially in PV — it really makes for a three item box. Not my favorite box, overall, but okay. This is the end of a three-month sub for me, and I think I’m going to take a break for a while.

  6. A very nice Petit Vour box! My perfume sample is the same, but my box is slightly different:

    – An SW Basics natural exfoliant instead of a makeup remover. It’s in a beautiful little spice jar and made with sea salt and oat flour. (I suspect the oat flour might be problematic for gluten-free girls, so it’s good Liz got the makeup remover.)
    – The body butter in Orange Harvest, which is a wonderful sweet orange citrus. I love love love this stuff. The scent reminds me a lot of the Sweet Coconut body butter we saw a couple of boxes ago, but it’s a lot whippier in the jar and this sample is quite a bit larger than the coconut one.
    – The Pacifica in Natural Mystic. I like the formula, but I’m thinking this shade looks a little too brown on me!

This is quickly becoming my favorite subscription box.

  7. Another great Petit Vour box. If I get the same lip color as you received, I know it will be to bright for me to. Yet it will be nice to see the texture of the product and see how long it stays on. I like body butter, yet I don’t like lavender anything, so I know if I get the lavender one I will be swapping it. Looking forward to trying the makeup remover oil. I’ve just recently started using make up removing oils, as well as pure oil on my face as a moisturizer, and I like oils now so much better then creams.

  8. Tracking shows a delivery date of Saturday for me. I am hoping tomorrow because I will be leaving for a retreat and wanted to bring the box with me to show to my sister and the other ladies at the retreat. I think all items will be a hit for me.
