Outlaw Soaps Subscription Box Review - September 2014 Box

Outlaw Soaps is a bi-monthly soap subscription box. Each box has a different outlaw-related theme and includes soaps, as well as a button and some light reading (pamphlets about the featured famous outlaw from history). September’s featured outlaw is Jesse James.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Outlaw Soaps Subscription Box Review - September 2014 Fire

Fire in the Hole Soap Bar – 2.5 oz, value: $4.50

Bunkhouse Stampede Soap Bar – 2.5 oz, value: $4.50

I love the way this Fire in the Hole soap looks just like a flame or explosion. This soap smells like campfire, gunpowder, sage, and whiskey!

Bunkhouse Stampede is made with clove, orange, vanilla, and cinnamon scents. It’s nice, and little bit spicy.

Outlaw Soaps Subscription Box Review - September 2014 Shaving

Jesse James Button

Leather and Sandalwood Shaving Soap – 7 oz (Full Size!), value: $15

This shaving soap works best when used with a shaving brush, but you can use your hands, too.

Verdict: Outlaw Soaps has a very unique and well thought-out vision! I think it has a niche market and from the sounds of things, they have lots of ideas (they even mention playing around with making necklaces out of real.38 bullet casings for the November box)!

What do you think about Outlaw Soaps?

Soap Boxes have become my new favorite type of box. This box seems fun to me. I like that it is every other month. However I noticed the shipping is high ( at least for me ) over $9 – I’ll stick with sudsey box for now. If the shipping was lower, or the value a little higher I would get it without to much hesitation.

I like the soapbox I am currently receiving, but this is a great themed box. I’m keeping this in the back of my mind for Christmas gifts.

This looks awesome! How creative! I really don’t need any more soaps, but when I run out eventually, I want to sign up for this.

I am so in! This theme is right up my alley. I love smaller soaps rather than a large one taking forever to use up, getting soggy or gross or I just am over it before it’s used up. Do they talk about their ingredients at all? Lastly, I don’t know what a bullet necklace has to do with soap, but I’d probably wear it and find that more useful than a button. Thanks Haley!

Tacit – thanks for reading! The bullet necklace is supposed to go along with the Outlaw theme more than the soaps, I think. =] Could be a fun extra!

Men, maybe not. I’ve just returned from their website. It may be only geared toward men. Bacon scent? I just don’t get the obsession. Is excited when I saw a soap quiz. Good, please match me to something other than bacon. I took it twice and it said I was stupid both times and even sent me to a condescending article. I took it a third, giving answers I thought they wanted and BOOM it finally matched me to a soap. What a joke. I must be stupid because I just spent five whole minutes on their website.
