Dottie Box Mini Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Bookmarks

Dottie Box Fabric Cover Button Bookmarks – value: $8

Lisa Leonard Heart Stud Earrings – value: $24

I couldn’t find these specific earrings on Lisa Leonard’s site, so I had to link to a pair that looked very similar. However, those are only $19, so I don’t exactly know where Dottie Box derived their $24 value from. They may actually be valued more if they’re exclusive to Dottie Box, or because their heart-shaped, or any number of variables. I can’t really say since I can’t find them exactly online.

Nevertheless, I absolutely love them. The card backing is actually a thin piece of wood, and the earrings themselves are silver and simple – just my taste!

Dottie Box Mini Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Nu

Dottie Box always includes coupons! This month, they included on for N:U Not the Usual and Singularity Handmade.

Verdict: Last month, the mini Dottie Box contained some things that were also in the full-size box so I was kind of expecting that again this month. That’s not the case, but I did like this box! I absolutely love the earrings, and whether they’re worth $19 or $24, just them alone make for a great value out of a $10/month box.

What do you think about this month’s mini Dottie Box?

I received this box with different patterned bookmarks and circle earrings. I felt this was a good value. Everything was well made and was presented well. Super cute! Definantly will get another box.

This is what I think is hard about the “value” of boxes – I feel the value of an item is a very personal thing. For instance, those bookmarks are only worth about $1.50 to me. They could easily be made for that, possibly less. The earrings, only $4, max. I would’ve been so disappointed by this box, for that reason.

The earrings I received are different. Maybe I’ll load it onto swap. Swap looks intimidating to me. I’m see if the pair I have is on her website. It might not be until tomorrow because I come home tonight and the boys miss me.

Swaps can intimidating, at first. Its really easy to get the hang of and then its a lot of fun! Sometimes I have to pull myself back, b/c I’m swapping too much. Its a great to turn the stuff from boxes that you don’t want or use into items that you love and can’t live without!

Those earrings are adorable. I wonder if there were different ones each box? And if so, what were they? I’d love to swap with someone for a couple pairs if they are different. Or even the same, for gifts! So pretty!

I like the earrings a lot though studs kind of get lost with my hair always covering them. The bookmarks are cute too but $8 seems kind of steep for what amounts to buttons and paper clips. Just my opinion though. I was going to ask how much the mini box costs but just caught that you mentioned at the end of the review that it’s only $10. This looks like a good value for the price for sure. I’m not familiar with either of the coupon companies. Do you know what they sell/offer?
