Nicky Hilton Fancy Box Subscription Review - Sept 2014 Kitten

Rings & Tings Spike Chain Bracelet – Value $22

Areaware Kitten Pouch – Value $16

This Kitten pouch may be the cutest thing I’ve ever received in a subscription box! I also like this spike gold bracelet, but I already have one thanks to another Fancy Box, so it will be gifted!

Nicky Hilton Fancy Box Subscription Review - Sept 2014 Paris

Paris Versus New York A Tally of Two Cities by Vahram Murtyan – Retail Value $20

This is a really cute book with illustrations showing the differences between the two cities. I think I’ll save it as a gift for one of my more well-traveled friends!

Nicky Hilton Fancy Box Subscription Review - Sept 2014 Sunglasses

AJ Morgan Sunglasses – Value $24

I’ve received these sunglasses a few times from various fancy and mystery boxes, so these will be swapped.

Rifle Paper Co

Also, this box was supposed to have a Rifle Paper Co. Card (value $5), but it was missing from my box.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $87. A lot of these items were repeats for me, so it wasn’t a super exciting box to open, but fortunately everything I already have will make a great gift or swap item. And I love that little kitten pouch! (And I’m a dog person!)

  1. Love my September box!!! Will there be a review?

  2. I saw the ring in a different review and liked it along the book. I did not ordered the 2nd box. I did place an order for the 3rd box. I do know if it arrives with items missing etc. it will be my last box. I am hoping the 3rd box will have her new book and the bracelet that matches the ring.

  3. With so many repeated items, do you REALLY think these boxes are curated by celebrities? It makes me wonder!! If they truly ARE curated by different people, I would expect the items from each different box to be unique. This really makes me think that Fancy must have contracts with a couple different companies, and the celebrities (if they even HAVE a say), get to choose among certain items…

I really wanted to try the Nicky Hilton box, but now I really don’t want to bother…

    • I wonder if they choose from like a line or products that Fancy was able to snag?? I feel like Fancy boxes are always just a bunch of random crap thrown together, I’ve never seen one I’ve been impressed with.

      • I think you have it right. It’s like, they have certain stuff in stock. So maybe Nicky Hilton chooses pink earbuds or speakers or a phone stand and Verbal or T-Pain chooses a less feminine color.

The Snoop Dogg box, I can believe he picked that stuff. But the rest? Not really.

I’ve never been the least bit tempted by a Fancy box, either.

  4. This was my second box from Fancy. I got a wrap-around ring instead of the bracelet. I wouldve liked the bracelet instead. The sunglasses were missing from my box. To say i wasnt thrilled would be an understatement, and i cancelled this box. There are so many more subscription boxes out there to spend my money on.
