Enclosed Subscription Box Review - September

Enclosed is a monthly subscription service that sends you a panty made from fabrics and lace selected just for you based on your profile and taste. The featured panties are selected from high-quality, global brands. The whole idea is to provide women with undergarments that give them a little spark of confidence.

Enclosed sent us this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Enclosed Subscription Box Review - September 2014 Knickers

Enclosed even found out I was recently married (in May) and sent me a special, bridal-themed pair this month!

Enclosed Subscription Box Review - September 2014 First Look

One thing that stood out to me about this subscription was the story they included. I’m a sucker for good stories behind products – it’s just what sells to me. This card describing the story behind the brand featured in my box was really well worded and romantic. (They also include real flower petals in the packaging!)

Enclosed Subscription Box Review - September 2014 Lou

Petillante Shorty from Lou Lingerie – value: $65.44

This pair of shorts is beautiful, and super comfy. The elastic band at the top is probably the softest I’ve felt on a pair of underwear and I think the pattern is so pretty. Also, if I’m correct, they’re listed for 51 euros on their site, which equals $65.44 USD.

Verdict: I’m impressed with the quality of both the underwear and the packaging from Enclosed. You can tell that Enclosed puts effort into making this a great subscription for gifting. Antonia Townsend, the founder, says that some women can’t get enough shoes or purses, etc., but she can’t get enough undergarments. I would never spend $65 on a pair of underwear myself, but I know I have at least one friend (who happens to be recently engaged) who would love a subscription like this as a gift, and who shares a similar love for special and quality under garments as Antonia.

What do you think of Enclosed? Have you ever gifted an underwear subscription?

I’m more of a lingerie person than a bag/shoe girl. I have Agent Provocateur, Maison Close, Fleur, etc— so I might be the only commenter that isn’t at all bothered by the price! That being said, I really prefer picking out my own lingerie at that price point. When I get Splendies, if I don’t like a pair it’s no big deal, they were only $4 anyway. If I don’t like something from this subscription it’s a lot more of a disappointment. Plus with nice lingerie, there’s usually a matching bra, garter belt, etc… I’m not sure how I would feel about just getting the panty.

I wouldn’t mind if someone treated me to a box.

Besides price; the big squabble I have is… Paying for see through underwear! You’d hope for none see through I’d think :/

Expensive box. But if u have the money, a surprise is still fun!

Why no see through? I would think that’s part of the “newly married” fun 😀
They’re too pricey, gotta agree with that, but they are VERY cute if they were about $40 less.

I understand that they send panties that are customized to a subscriber’s preferences but are they literally specially made for the buyer? If not, and this is coming from a pricey panty buyer who loves La Perla, it seems quite overpriced. Now if they’re hand making them to a buyer’s specifications that’s a different story. Otherwise I’d stick to buying luxe lingerie from known companies where you can shop for a deal. The price of my last 2 pair of La Perlas combined didn’t cost this much.

I think it looks like a beautiful subscription! I di t think this is like Ipsy where you subscribe every month for all of time. This seems more like an indulgent gift fir you or someone else once and a while like fir a wedding or valentines day. They sell it more of a gift as well if you read the site. Love yhe packaging!

Did I read this right? $58 for ONE pair of undies? One? No chance.

Danielle

$50 for one pair of underwear?! That’s insane.

Way overpriced! I will stick with Splendies. They also have great undies at an even more awesome price.
