Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review

Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review Items

The EcoSalon box is a limited edition box that pops up about once a season. They usually only have 100 or so available, so they sell out pretty quickly. (This box is no longer available, but I will post about the next one, so make sure to sign up for the newsletter if you don’t want to miss it!)

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Box: Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous

The Cost: $129 with free shipping

The Products: Get ready for Fair Trade Month (next month!) with some of these gorgeous fall fashion finds, skin care products to keep you glowing through the change of seasons, and some really good for you herbal products to balance you through the transition into winter.

Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review ahnu

Ahnu Karma Shoes – Value $90

This card came with a unique coupon code to get a pair of Ahnu Karma shoes for free. I just placed my order for the grey version of this pair, and I can’t wait to try them out. (And I didn’t have to enter credit card info!)

Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review Leggings

Pact Leggings – Value $34

I believe the original listing of this box stated that this legging would be size medium, but mine came in large. Usually that’s the size I buy, but these leggings are a little loose, so I would have preferred the medium. Hopefully they will shrink a little in the laundry.

Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review Tee

Vera V-Neck Top in White – Value $15

The fabric of this top is pretty thin, but it is a perfect piece for layering. I will definitely wear it a lot!

Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review Scarf

INDIGENOUS Fair Trade Organic Tassel Scarf – Value $90

This scarf is made with organic cotton and very cozy. I really like the chocolate brown color too!

Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review Necklace

AKOLA PROJECT Demi Paper Bead Necklace – Value $86

This necklace is such a statement piece! It’s amazing each of the beads are made from hand-rolled paper. I’m not sure if I’ll wear this enough to justify keeping it – but it will make a wonderful gift.

Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review Shincare

SKINAGAIN Youth – Value $64

I’m very excited to use this product! I love getting full-sized skincare products in boxes – you actually can use it long enough to see if it works for you! This formula is free of gluten, fragrance, parabens, dyes, etc, so I know it won’t irritate my skin.

Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review Shots

I AM LIQUID SUPPLEMENTS: Energized, Focused, Happy, Sleepy and Skinny – Value $20

I haven’t tried these yet – if you recommend them let me know!

Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review Mascara

LOGONA Mascara Volume No. 2 – Value $22

LIVING LIBATIONS Maiden Fern Blushing Balm – Value $20

BUFF HER HOUSE OF EXFOLIATION Oatmeal Blueberry Cookie Facial Scrub – Value $35

This mascara is new brand for me, and I always am down to try out a new natural mascara. I thought this one was pretty good (not my all-time favorite), but it gave me really dark lashes and length for a more natural look.

This little blushing balm is actually a perfect size – because a little goes a LONG way with this color. I tried it on my lips and my cheeks, and I think I’ll stick with it as just a blush, the red was a little too bold for my lips.

This facial scrub doesn’t scream blueberry cookies to me, but the scent is subtle and lovely!

Ecosalon’s The Box: Fair Trade & Fabulous Review From The Lab

FROM THE LAB Rejuvenating Face CreamUnder Eye Treatment and Hydrating Lip Primer  – Value $60

This was the one item in the box that seemed a little out of place to me from EcoSalon, since From The Lab isn’t a natural brand.

Verdict: I’m very happy I bought this box. I love that it was fashion themed, and I got to try out a lot new-to-me fair-trade brands. I’m also thrilled with the value. Were you able to snag a box before it sold out? What did you think of it?

  1. Wow, as anyone knows I’m picky about value in boxes and I can see the value here. I would be excited to get this and that’s saying a lot. I’m a huge critic. Hope I can get in on the next one.

  2. I had the same thought about the from the lab products. I ordered the box (love it) and I’m vegan, so I did some digging. From the lab is actually a vegan brand, and all natural. The undereye concealer is great, as is the face cream. Really loved everything in this box. They really knocked it out of the park. 🙂

  3. This box looks soooooo good. I guess there’s always next time. 🙂

  4. I got this box and love it! I actually received the leggings in small, but they fit perfectly. My shirt is a light blue color, and my necklace is all blue.

I tried the Energized supplement and enjoyed it.

I just noticed though that I didn’t get the mascara, balm, or facial scrub, will have to email them about it!

First time getting this box, and absolutely adore it.

    • You might’ve missed it in the box, if you weren’t looking for it. They always use those Eco peanuts, and you really have to dig, to make sure you don’t miss anything.

      • Oh thanks! Shoot, I threw the box and the Eco peanuts out already. I’ll keep that in mind for next time. What a bummer! I had just returned from a 10 day trip and a 24 hour plane ride, so my jetlagged brain maybe wasn’t working so hot.

  5. If future boxes look anything like this one in terms of quality, value, and curation… I’m certainly going to order one. I am just sad I didn’t get this one.

  6. My box is exactly like yours, except my leggings is in medium. I ordered the shoes with no issue. I drank the energized drink one morning to test it out. It taste yucky. I drank it 7 am with no coffee and coke throughout the day and I was wide awake at 10 pm. I get up at 4 am every day, walk the dogs and feed them and am at work at 6:30. Come home and take the dogs to training so usually beat by the time I am in bed at 9. I will not drink it again. I took the “happy” bottle to work and wait for my witchy boss to act up and I will drink it to see if it works.

  7. Usually they have about 40 boxes for sale, based upon previous boxes. Not the 100. This they only have 39, because the editor also get it too. Sometimes they go fast (like this box), or slow (if the theme is very specific to a group). I like mine. I got the pink stripe shoes. Very comfy.

  8. This is an amazing box! I was going to get it, but I already spent $100 on a seriously disappointing fall LE Popsugar box. Too bad… I should have grabbed this one instead!

  9. Holy moly, that’s a crazy value!! Great box!

  10. I think I just found about 9 more ideas for your MSA box 🙂 Too bad I missed out on this one. I love the idea of being able to place and order for your own anhu shoes. The scarf looks so cozy. I would love to try the skinagain product. Great box. I will keep my eyes open for the next one!
