BoxyCharm Beauty Subscription Box Review – September 2014
BoxyCharm is a full-size and deluxe-size makeup and beauty subscription box. When they first started they were featuring drugstore brands like Revlon and L’Oreal, but lately they’ve been using mid-tier and high-end brands. (If you check out my earlier BoxyCharm reviews, you can definitely see the improvement in curation!)
BoxyCharm kindly sent me this box to review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Subscription Box: BoxyCharm
The Cost: $21 a month
The Products: 5-6 drugstore beauty items that will include nail care, skin care, makeup, haircare, fragrance and more. (At least 4 of those items will be full-sized).
Ships to: US
Each box comes with a card detailing the products included.
Tarina Taratino Fleur de Lash Mascara – Value $19
tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss in Park Ave Princess – Value $19
I gave this mascara a try and I’m happy with it. It’s not the best mascara I’ve ever used, but it is pretty good, and the formula doesn’t clump at all. (The brush itself is pretty big though!)
This lipgloss is a tad sticky, but super glossy and it has a great flavor too. (And I love that Tarte products are free of parabens, phthalates, etc). The box also came with a 20% off coupon code (FALLBOXY) for Tarte.com.
NCLA Nail Lacquer in Model Behavior – Value $16
Hello by Harvey Prince Travel Spray (10 ml) – Value $29
I think this NCLA nail polish might be my favorite fall nail polish shade ever. It’s such a rich mocha grey creme!
Coastal Scents Go Palette in Cairo – Value $12.95
I believe this item may vary per box, and I’m happy with the colors of the Cairo set I received – very fall appropriate! (Quarter added to show how tiny these little eyeshadows are!)
Verdict: BoxyCharm just seems to be getting better and better! This month’s box ha a value of about $96! I really like the brands they include (Tarte!), and the variety of makeup items is great too.
