The Boodle Box Subscription Box Review – September

The Boodle Box is a monthly subscription box full of accessories and beauty products that encourage girls of all ages to uncover new things and discover themselves in the process. Each box includes everything from nail polish and nail art, to fashion accessories and beauty items, as well as some non-beauty extras. Additionally, the Boodle Box is customizable by age: Boodle One is for ages 5-10, and Boodle Two is for ages 11+.

The Boodle Box kindly sent both their Boodle One Box and Boodle Two Box to review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This month, there is “Go Wild!”

The Boodle Box Subscription Box Review – September 2014 Info

Every box comes with an informational card – this is the Boodle One box.

The Boodle Box Subscription Box Review – September 2014 Pop

Zebra Print Nail Polish Remover Pads from NPW Gifts – 30 pads, value: $2.99

Poppy Drops Tattoo Nail Art – value: $5.95

Pop Beauty Nail Polish in “Pinky” – .5 fl oz, value: $10

I love that they included a sort of “set” of nail art items! My 10-year-old sister-in-law is currently obsessed with nail art, so I know she’ll love these.

The Boodle Box Subscription Box Review – September 2014 Laces

No Crease Hair Ties in Glitter and Animal Prints – 5 pack, value: $8

Zebra Shoelaces – 1 pair, value: $3.99

Leopard Print Ballet Shoe Ring Holder – value: $15

Infinity Midi Ring – value: $7.95

This box is giving me flashbacks to when I was little – I definitely would have been all about this shoe ring holder!

That’s everything for the first Boodle Box. The value adds up to $53.88, which is an awesome value!

Now, onto the Boodle Two Box!

The Boodle Box Subscription Box Review – September 2014 Salon

Zebra Print Nail Polish Remover Pads from NPW Gifts – 30 pads, value: $2.99

Pop Beauty Lip Balm – value: $4

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Twin Pack in Wild Child/Kitty, Kitty – value: $12.65

I can’t find this Pop beauty lip balm in anything other than these Pop Beauty Matchy-Matchy sets, so I can’t really determine if I agree with their value for it or not.

These Sally Hansen nail polish strips fit really well into this box for 11+ girls – they’re more advanced than simple polish to apply, but the designs are still appropriate for girls that age to wear.

The Boodle Box Hair Ties

No Crease Hair Ties in Glitter and Animal Prints – 5 pack, value: $8

Pink Leopard Shoelaces – 1 pair, value: $3.99

Leopard Print Purse Ring Holder – value: $15

Bow Midi Ring – value: $7.95

The second box adds up to $54.58!

Verdict: I’m always impressed with the value in these Boodle Boxes. I know when I was young and in my tween years, I loved getting things like this in the mail! I usually pass my Boodle Boxes to my 10-year-old sister-in-law, and I know this month will be another hit with her! This is one of my favorite boxes for young girls I’ve tried so far.

What do you think of the Boodle Box? What item do you think you would have been most excited about as a young girl?

I decided to get this box, it seems fun to me. Even though the box is meant for teens, there are some fun items in this box, that non tweens can use. It reminds me a little of qbox, which is fun to get. I like fun boxes.

I knew that I was going to get my granddaughter her first subscription box for her thirteenth birthday. I had decided on Ibebeautiful until I spotted this one. Even though I planned a surprise, I decided ti show her both of them along with reviews. She chose this one hands down, and she is loving them. She said that they were her style. Sept. will be her last one. I might have to give up one of my subs so I can keep her subscribed. I can’t resist that smile!

This was my daughter’s first box and as a lover of zebra stripes she was thrilled. I love everything about this box. It’s definitely the best pre-teen/teen subscription we’ve tried. The value is there, the curation is there and the products are just so darn cute.

Did u end up signing up? =) – I got one for me 🙂 – I just subscribed. Some of the items are very similar to items found in regular boxes. I’ve probably gotten 20 other boxes from different companies ( not teen – not kids boxes ) with glitter ( i consider teen ) and other items. At least this one is fun box and less makeup.

My nieces are a bit too young for this (ages 2 and 4 at the moment), but everything I am told about them suggests that they would be really into this sort of thing. (My sister takes them to a salon to have their nails done, even…) If this box is still around in another 5 or 6 years, I would definitely consider it as a gift for them. (I don’t actually know any girls in the target age range right now.)
