Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - August 2014 Spray

Enfusia Spa Salt Muscle Soak – Sample Value $2

Balanced Guru Energy Mist – FULL SIZE!l Value $8

I assumed this Guilt Free energy mist was a sample, but the 8 ml size is the full size! You only need to spray it once and breathe in, so I should be able to get plenty of uses out of this little spray bottle! And I love the scents of both the spray and the muscle soak sea salts!

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - August 2014 Pacifica

Pacifica Natural Skincare Alight Multi-Mineral BB-Cream – 10 ml Value $5

Etta & Billie Rosemary & Lemon Soap – Sample Value $1

I’ve tried this BB Cream before and I really like the subtle glow finish it provides, but I never bought it in full size because it’s a pretty sheer BB cream, and I prefer a little more coverage.

While I wish this soap sample had been bigger, I absolutely love the lemon scent! I think it’s the freshest/most naturally smelling soap I’ve ever sampled!

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Subscription Review - August 2014 Bronzer

Emani Vegan Cosmetics Mineral Hybrid Creme in Speechless – FULL SIZE! Value $18

I don’t know if you can tell in the picture, but the top of this hyrbid creme is covered in copper glitter. Fortunately I discovered that it’s just the finishing touch of this makeup, so you can wipe it off and then have much more useable product. This hybrid creme is supposed to work for eyes, lips, and cheeks. That may work for other shades, but I’d say this copper color palette is best for eyes – it has a lot of shimmer. I love that you apply it like a pressed powder, but it’s a cream – no loose powder falling on your makeup! I really love the formula and I plan on buying a few of other colors from Emani!

Verdict: I paid $20 for this box and I received about $34 worth of products. I love this eyeshadow creme hybrid, and I think I’ll use everything so I’m happy with the value.

  1. I thought this was a terrible box. The samples are very small and the selection was terrible. I thought the choice of bath salts – which spilled out everywhere in the box (and the floor, when I opened the box) – and the soap were lame choices. Maybe ok for extras, but not for the main event. The spray baffled me. It says not to be ingested, but spray and inhale? I didn’t get the point and through it in the garbage. It might be nice for others but seems extremely specialized for a generalized sample beauty box. The BB cream is nice, but the sample is really small. The eye shadow isthe true highlight in the box and only thing with any significant value, in my (obviously harsh) opinion. This was my second box. July was better, but not enough to keep the subscription. I like petite vour much better; the quality and variety of the products are more traditionally what you would find in the ipsy/burchbox/sample society boxes.

  2. The hybrid cream looks awesome! I have nothing even close to a hint of copper. Nice sub!! I received Guru hair oil from Fabfitfun and love it so I may enjoy this mist just as much as I do the oil. Wow.. I love epsom salt with relaxing baths and usually use chamomile and lavender bubble bath for extra relaxation. Plus combined seems to ease my back pain. This seems to be a great bag for me, I wonder if next month will be similar! 🙂

    • Ditto on the Epsom salts soak! I also mix mine with something scented for extra benefit (ok, I just like girly smelling things). I didn’t like the FFF hair oil. It was just a disaster on my naturally oily hair. One drop massaged in my palms and I looked like I could star in a Grease! revival!

  3. I was worried about the hybrid creme but after diluting the color on top by blending it in to the color below a bit I was able to use on lips and cheeks too. Very nice for my coloring (brunette with hazel eyes). Give it a chance on cheeks and lips.

  4. I love this box, especially the spray scent, but I do agree I wish the soap sample was larger. Mine was a clay facial cleanser and the size of a dried banana chip.

    • I got the same box as Sue with the clay facial cleanser — I liked the soap but only managed to get two uses out of it so I didn’t get enough of an idea to see if I liked it enough to buy. Liz, your soap sample is about 10-20 times the size of the clay sliver!

I am taking the aromatherapy spray with me on my next business trip.
