Pennie Post Subscription Review – August 2014 Cards

Deconstructed Floral Lines Card with Matching Envelope – value: $4

This card looks even prettier in person than it does in the photo. I think this pattern is bold and modern, and I am definitely going to find a reason to send this to a friend!

Pennie Post Subscription Review – August 2014 Notes

Rainbow Herringbone Thank You Note with Wrap-Around Address Label – value: $3

Rainbow Herringbone Enclosure – value: $1.42

Pennie Post Subscription Review – August 2014 Birthday

Overlapping Stripes Birthday Card with envelope – value: $3

This card is understated and oh-so-pretty. I’m a huge fan of simple, modern design and I absolutely love that the pattern continues onto the back of the card, too! That makes it feel high quality.

The Verdict: Seeing my Pennie Post package in the mail always makes me so happy! I adored this month’s selection. I’ve been liking Pennie Post more and more each month I’ve received it. I know some people have mentioned the fact that you can just buy greeting cards at dollar stores, but I’ve found that the cards and stationery included in this subscription are such nice quality and very well designed – I can’t find cards I get this excited about sending at a dollar store! Also, I have definitely found more reasons to connect with friends and family through mail because I love these cards so much, and whenever we’re leaving for an event and I realize I never bought a card to take, I know I have some great ones handy.

What are your thoughts about Pennie Post? Which design is your favorite this month?

I think it’s great that there are people who still send cards and “old fashioned” correspondence versus emails/e-cards only. It’s a lost art. Plus, who doesn’t like getting a surprise card in the mail?

Thanks for the treat review. The value of the overlapping stripes card is actually $3.75, not $3. Didn’t want to confuse anyone =P

I am so in love with Pennie Post! My absolute favorite subscription for stationary. I was telling a friend that I feel like I am sending a gift of art with each card I send. I am sure they make the recipients as happy to receive these cards as I feel when I receive them. I have also ordered many of these cards from Pennie Post and been so happy with the customer service and handwritten notes.

At $11/month, it is such a great deal. I am actually thinking about gifting this service lots around the holidays.

My mom is a big fan of dollar store cards. But I can spend hours at a dollar store/drugstore/Target and not find a card I really like. Or I can settle for something that’s OK but not great. Or I can spend the big bucks and get a Papyrus one (those are usually pretty classy, with unobjectionable messages) but have to pay extra postage to send it.

With all that in mind, I can see the benefit of a subscription service like Pennie Post. These are tasteful, classic sorts of cards and I like the designs a lot. (Too bad I had to cancel a bunch of subs over the weekend for financial reasons or I’d definitely consider this one.)
