Culinary Fancy Box Review - August

The Culinary Fancy Box is one of the newest subscription boxes from Fancy. My understanding is that it replaces the Tyler Florence Fancy box, and if you had a Tyler Florence subscription it transferred to this one. This is the first box from the new subscription.

Fancy sent us this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Culinary Fancy Box Review - August 2014 Info

Each Fancy box comes with a fold out card detailing the items included. The theme of this box is small plate appetizers and accessories.

Culinary Fancy Box Review - August 2014 Tools

AR+COOK Cheese Plane – Value $9

Chef’n Scoop Troop – Value $13

These are both tools we could use, and they are dishwasher safe, so I’m happy!

Culinary Fancy Box Review - August 2014 Glasses

V Series Glasses Set – Value $35

I realize that I may have lost scale with this picture, but these glasses are quite large and very heavy duty. They’re┬ávery well made and they’re dishwasher safe too! They’re my favorite item in the box and a great everyday drinking glass or perfect for the bar.

Culinary Fancy Box Review - August 2014 Board

Oggi Duo Oil & Vinegar Bottle – Value $12

Round Appetizer Board – Value $18

I’ve always wanted to try one of these combo olive oil and vinegar bottles, so this was a nice surprise! And this appetizer tray is really nice but very small.

Verdict: I think this is a great first box from the Culinary Fancy Box! The retail value is almost $90, and I think all of the items are quality pieces. What do you think of the first Culinary Fancy Box?

  1. It’s a cheese board, not a coaster or even an appetizer tray. It goes with the planer as a way to serve a cheese course.

Honestly, this box made me SO HAPPY. The things in it that I don’t love will make amazing christmas gifts. And I’m with you Liz, I LOVE those glasses! (However the cheese board and planer are going to be swapped as a set…)

  2. Wow, that’s maybe the first box review I’ve seen where I’ve really really wanted every item! And those glasses! Agh…neeeeeeeddd!

  3. Looks like a great box! I wonder if they’ll ever throw in a food item like the TF box sometimes included (and I wished they included more of)?

  4. I’m curious to see how this box progresses. It looks like a great first box.

  5. Other than the ridiculously small appetizer tray, I was very pleased with each piece. I thought it was better than any of the Tyler Florence box ( which I liked). I’m excited to see what the future holds for this box.

    • I thought it was a coaster, it was so small…
