Swap Site Updates – Beauty Listing Fixes

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Swap Site Updates

Thanks to the feedback on our last Swap Site update post, we have another update! From now on if you are listing a beauty item, filling in the product size field is required. Hopefully this should prevent any confusion where a trial size product may have been listed with a full-size product image. (FYI – this change impacts all listings moving forward, but older listings still may not have sizes listed, so I encourage you to ask your fellow swapper for sizes if they don’t have them listed).

Hopefully this will lead to more successful swaps!

And we also did an update to fix the loading issues that were happening on item pages with a lot of listings.

Thanks for all the Swap Site feedback – keep the suggestions coming!

  1. Just curious, but about how long is the wait list? I can’t wait to start swapping.

    • We open up the wait list every week or two. We should be opening it again sometime early next week! 🙂

      • Ugh! I can’t wait any longer! The stuff is piling up! :p

  2. My only concern about being able to change feedback after the fact would be if people changed from positive to negative. Maybe there was a good swap in the past, but you can’t come to agreement on a new swap, so someone changes the rating out if anger. Or maybe you did everything right and receive good feedback, but the other swapper took a month and sent the wrong item, so you leave neutral feedback and a comment. Then they could totally retaliate and change your feedback to negative.

Maybe the change could require admin approval or something to prevent unwarranted changes.

Our ratings are so important, especially now with all these new swappers who haven’t swapped with us yet.

  3. Thank you, Liz (and anyone else behind the scenes who may be helping you!) You are so responsive and are constantly improving the swap site. You made that change one day after it was requested! Even corporations with billions of dollars don’t have that kind of response time. I know it’s because you actually love subs and swapping, so your heart is in it. Swapping on this site (and this is truly the only place I’ll swap) is one of my favorite hobbies. Thanks for giving us a fun and productive outlet. Sorry to sound all gushy, but I really do appreciate you.

    • Mary Beth – reading this comment made my day – Thank You!!! I’ll pass it along to my husband too who does all the technical work for the swap site. I know he will appreciate it as well! 🙂

  4. I would like to know how to change feedback. I accidentally marked negative on someone’s and would like to change it. I even typed great swap underneath it. I have e-mailed about it. I feel terrible!

    • I have to change it manually in the admin section. I’ll check your email and fix it. Thanks!
