GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review - July

GoodeBox is a natural and organic beauty box. I’ve been subscribing for half a year now, and I’ve found that they usually have a good mix of full size and sample size products.

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review - July 2014 La Fresh

Lauren Brooke Cosmtiques Finishing Powder – 4.5 g Value $12.75

LA FRESH Nail Polish Remover Acetone-Free (3) – Value $1.50

These items are both wins for me – the finishing powder works just as well as some of the other natural finishing powders I use, and these LA FRESH wipes are my nail polish remover of choice, so it’s always good to have a few extras!

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review - July 2014 Oil

Soft Cup (2) – Value $1

Balanced Guru No Frizz Balancing Oil – 15 ml (Travel Size) Value $13

I love this frizz oil since discovering it through FabFitFun, so I’m happy to have a spare. As far as the soft cup goes, I personally never like getting time-of-the-month items in subscription boxes unless they are specifically time-of-the-month boxes – at least it’s only a small amount of the value of the box.

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review - July 2014 Samples

Pure Natural Diva Botanicals Polished Organic Body Scrub in Diva – 1 oz Value $5

Pure Natural Diva Botanicals Body & Hand Wash in Pure – 1 oz Value $3.50

It looks like they knew these samples were going to leak a little, so I appreciate the zip lock bags! This brand is new to me, and I really love both of the scents. I think the Diva scent is my favorite, and this scrub is fantastic – it left my skin very soft and moisturized. I’m probably going to buy a few products in the Diva scent with the 20% off coupon that came with the box!

Verdict: I paid $18 for this box and recieved about $37 worth of beauty items – I’m very happy with the value, and discovering the Pure Natural Diva Botanical brand is a win for me as well.

What did you think of the July GoodeBox?

    • Do you have a link to buy it? I can’t find it on their site. Thanks!

The final of 4 Limited Edition, Deluxe Beauty Boxes to celebrate a Night For Green Beauty, featuring the following 6, full size, luxury beauty products including:
No.1 Aknari Brightening Youth Serum by MUN (Retail price: $95.00)

Lip Boost in Bare by Gressa Skin (Retail price: $26.00)

        • This is sold out in 2 minutes. They said so in the FB post. I think they move to a different shopping site, as there were a lot of problems loading the pages for the 3rd box. There’s a lot of interest in it, within the green beauty community. Now, I just need to find some transportation to LA on that day….

          • wow! that was quick!

  2. Just a comment on one of the items that came in the box. The Softcup. A friend of mine told me about them so I tried them and have continued to use them. They sounded like a good alternative to tampons. It’s safe to leave them in for up to 12 hours, they aren’t linked to Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) and don’t cause the dryness or irritation that tampons sometimes can, lastly, you can leave it in during intercourse (for ladies that might have long distance relationships or partners that go out of town frequently for work). So convenience-wise having something that can be left in for more than 4 hours is fantastic and health-wise less of a risk of TSS is a plus.

  3. THIS is the WORST subscription box I ever bought. And I have bought a ton of them in the past 4 years.
Some months, the boxes would be delayed. Some months, the products were NOT sealed in the cheap tiny containers like you show for the ” samples”.

I have received rancid products- expired and ruined.

Mostly, though, I got just what you are showing but REALLY DO NOT ADDRESS– almost every item in every box was a single use, maybe two use tiny, fit in the palm of my hand sample.

Goodebox promotes itself as something special but what it does is take products apart, and send each customer a tiny dab which Goodebox has repackaged.

I think they are a total rip off, and when I had extremely serious product issues, they were never fixed, never addressed, just hand- waved.
I have no respect for the company, and I really think you need to add a RULER to your photos to show how tiny the items are.

  4. I canceled last month and I am glad I did. I am now able to use that money towards another box I prefer to have.

  5. i did not get the hair oil or finishing powder. i received Pure Natural Body Spray and Neuth Organic Creme pour Visage Makeup Remover (which i put up for swap) instead. i’ve used the sugar scrub on my hands a few times now mixed with hand soap… it’s okay, but i like my BBW hand scrub much better. my body wash did leak, so i was glad it was in a ziplock bag as well!

  6. I got this box yesterday. I like smell of the clean body wash and the spray. My hair is so dry and frizzy I always need frizz oil. I go through 1 bottle a week. The finishing powder and the nail polish remover pads I wont use so I put them up for swap immediately. – I did not get the soft cup, which I’m glad I didnt, the entire idea seems gross to me. – yuck! Instead of the Pure Natural Diva Botanicals Polished Organic Body Scrub in Diva – I got the Neuth Creme pour visage which is natural facial cleanser – I can always use another face cleanser 🙂 Nice and crisp smelling — This is my last goodebox, I cancled my subscription because I liked boxes that are higher value since most the time I only use 1/2 the items in the box. As much as I like swapping, I like being able to use the items in a box I get much better 🙂
