Each box comes with a card detailing the items selected for that month. This month’s theme is “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”
Chicago Mix Popped Corn by G.H. Creators – 1.5 oz, value: $1.20
Cheddar Baked Fries by Snikiddy – 1 oz, value: $.94
These baked fried are awesome! You can tell they’re made with actual cheese and the texture is really great. Additionally, they’re non-GMO, MSG-free, naturally gluten-free, and have no trans fats.
Snap Back Ginger Detox Cookie by the Cookie Department – 1.5 oz (1 cookie), value: $2.14
Good for You Granola, Almond Butter and Jelly Sandwich bar by Jelly Oak – 1.63 oz, value: $1.99
Chocolate-Filled Cookies by Dolcetto - .7 oz, value: $.83
This Ginger Cookie is advertised to help you “snap back into your day” and detox from the ginger and cayenne pepper used in the ingredients. I’m a big fan of gingersnaps, and I loved this cookie, but I feel like the packaging might be trying to pass it off as a healthy choice to get your day back on track when, in reality, it’s still a cookie.
Dolcetto’s Chocolate-Filled Cookies are my favorite thing in this month’s box. They’re all natural with no artificial flavors or colors. They’re light, crispy, and the chocolate inside is delicious. On the back, it’s recommend to try these with coffee, ice cream, or yogurt, or even freezing them for a cold treat!
Pineapple, Raspberry, and Mango Fruit Snacks by YumEarth Organics - .62 oz, value: $1.00
Gum Balls by Tree Hugger Gum – 1 gum ball, value: $.23
Montmorency Cherries by Stoneridge Orchards – 1 oz, value: $1.17
Gummies like this are a great treat for kids, but I really enjoyed them, as well. They’re vegan, non-GMO, gluten-, egg-, and dairy-free, free of artificial colors or chemicals, made with real fruit, and completely natural. Compared to the other kinds of gummy treats on the market, I’d definitely prefer to give these to my kids if I were a mom.
For dried cherries, these Montmorency cherries are really soft and flavorful, and they’re easily my second favorite treat this month. They’re a great mix of tart and sweet and were a great idea for a summer snack. Similar to the gummy fruit snacks, I’d pick these up every time over the more processed dried fruit options out there – the ingredients are just cherries, sunflower oil, and natural cane sugar!
The Verdict: I think the curation of this box fits really well into the theme this month, and all the treats seem perfect to keep on hand for ball games, play dates, or picnics. I love how Love With Food always includes a nice mix of sweet and savory snacks in each box, too. This month, the estimated value is about $9.50. I like to point out in my Love With Food reviews that the goal of these boxes is more about a great curation that introduces you to brands and products you wouldn’t have tried before than giving you a high value of products in each box. I almost always find something each month that I love enough to purchase full-size, so I definitely think they do that well.
What are your thoughts on this month’s box? Have you tried Love With Food boxes before?
