GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – June

GoodeBox is a natural and organic beauty box. I’ve been subscribing for half a year now, and I’ve found that they usually have a good mix of full size and sample size products.

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – June 2014 Blum

Blum Naturals Daily Cleansing & Makeup Remover Towelettes – 10 count Value $3

Goddess Garden Natural Sunscreen SPF 30 – 1 oz Value $3.50

Waxelene – .75 oz Value $1.50

These are all very practical items, plus I’ve sampled Blum and Waxelene before, so I know I’ll use these!

GoodeBox Eco Beauty Subscription Box Review – June 2014 BWC

Beauty Without Cruelty Sweet Lavender Lotion – 2 oz Value $2

Primal Pit Paste – .25 oz Value $1.50

Neuth Organic Creme pour Visage – Sample Value $10?

This organic cleansing cream has an amazing sweet orange scent – I can’t wait to try this as a makeup remover alternative!

Verdict: I paid $18 for this box and received about $22 worth of items. I’ll probably use all the items, but I wish the value was higher. I also would have loved to see a full sized item in this box. (Especially a full sized makeup item!) Hopefully the July box is a little more exciting and valuable!

What do you think of the June GoodeBox?

  1. Liz: — Just got an email from Goodebox about a limited edition goodebox – The 3rd Limited Editition Deluxe Beauty Box for A Night of Green Beauty is now available for purchase.
The Limited Edition Deluxe Beauty Box #3 (of 4) — Cost: $110.00 each (includes shipping and handling) goes on sale on Monday, June 30th, at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT.

  2. Oh, and the pit paste is $3.95 for this trial size on the website!

  3. I got almost the same box. I was supposed to get the lotion, but somehow got the bee venom cream. The Waxelene is actually a value of $4.99, according to the Waxelene website.

  4. Seems like you get more for less from Ipsy. Think I’ll pass.

  5. That weird pair of socks notwithstanding (lol), this is one of my FAVORITE subscription boxes! I’ve discovered so many new (to me) brands! The complexion powder in mine is AMAZING. Like I have a billion products and still think I really need to buy it at $70 incredible. Wish I’d gotten the bee venom cream to try, but maybe next time.

  6. I would probably use everything in this box, but the sizes are so tiny that I’m not that keen on the value. I might wait to see what you get in July to decide if this is a sub box I’m interested in.

  7. This is one box I don’t get and probably won’t subscribe to. There’s nothing wrong with the products (although I think I got that sunscreen from somewhere else, recently), but I am seeing SO MANY moisturizers, face creams, and body lotions lately that I just don’t need any more of them. (Sample Society is sending me FIVE MOISTURIZERS this month…) I also went on a makeup remover towelette buying binge from drugstore.com a few weeks ago when they were having a promo, so I’m good on those for a long while, too.

    • I think you are getting the same box from samplesociety I got. The face creams are tiny. Based on the box I got a few days ago I canceled that sub to. I agree to many face creams. I’m getting board with the boxes for this reason. I wish they would at least ad something fun, instead of tiny little samples that the rest of the beauty boxes seem to have. $18 is pricey with out at least having 1 full size product in the box.

      • I’m keeping Sample Society for now, although the upcoming box is a little ridiculous. Karin Herzog stuff is great and I can’t afford it otherwise. I have gotten some products through there that I really liked. I will probably never go out and buy full sizes of anything from any box, though, because I have so many samples I’ll never run out. (I’m talking hundreds, and I’ve only been into boxes for about 6 months.)

  8. Liz: The value on this box makes me want to cancel my subscription. I don’t like it when the box retail values are less then 35% paid. Even though swapping and regifting is fun, it is more fun to feel like a got a great value box. The only thing that I really like about this box is that the subscription does not have to be monthly, it can also be every other month. I wish other box subscriptions would offer that option.
