Artistry Gift Wrap Subscription Review & Coupon - June

Artistry Gift Wrap is a monthly subscription box which contains high quality and gift wrap, bags, ribbons, bows, and more from artists and designers all over the world. Each box is curated around a theme each month, so the items are made to mix-and-match. Many of their papers are even made from recycled or eco-friendly materials.

Artistry Gift Wrap kindly sent us this box for review purposes.

Artistry Gift Wrap Subscription Review & Coupon - June 2014 Note

Each box comes with papers describing this month’s items and gift wrapping ideas. This month features double-sides gift wrap designs by Roger la Borde, a British publisher based in Longon, England. He has launched designs from a network of artists committed to upholding social and environmental values.

This month’s box included 5 sheets of double-sided wrapping papers and 2 greeting cards as well. The sheets are a little over 2 feet by 1.5 feet each. Here are the close-ups of the two patterns of each paper.

Artistry Gift Wrap Subscription Review & Coupon - June 2014 Butterfly

Bohemian Rhapsody Reversible Wrap – value: $4

I love this paper! The pattern is beautiful and I know exactly who to use this wrapping paper for – my mom loves butterflies, flowers, and bright colors.

Critters Reversible Gift Wrap – value: $4

Artistry Gift Wrap Subscription Review & Coupon - June 2014 Cars

Madison Ave Reversible Wrap – value: $4

This paper screams Father’s Day! I definitely think a lot of men would dig this pattern.

Artistry Gift Wrap Subscription Review & Coupon - June 2014 Baby

Baby Magic Reversible Wrap – value: $4

This is probably my favorite of the five patterns. I like that the inside is still a really cute pattern that matches the outside without being so pretty that I feel like it’d be a shame to hide it on the inside of a present.

Artistry Gift Wrap Subscription Review & Coupon - June 2014 Paris

Vintage Wedding Reversible Wrap – value: $4

I couldn’t find this paper on Artistry Gift Wrap’s website, but they give the value on the informational card. Personally, I don’t think I love the “wedding” side of this paper, but I do love the other side – its cream with metallic gold Paris designs.

Artistry Gift Wrap Subscription Review & Coupon - June 2014 Card

Vintage Wedding Greeting Card – value: $3.50

Artistry Gift Wrap Subscription Review & Coupon - June 2014 Butterflies

Bohemian Rhapsody Birthday Card – value: $3.50

The Verdict: This month’s Artistry Gift Wrap box was definitely something new to me – I’ve never used single papers to wrap presents instead of rolls of paper. They’re a good size, so I imagine they’d work for a lot of single presents, but I also feel like you could use them for other paper crafts or even scrapbooking sheets or accents because they’re good quality. This month’s value adds up to $27, and I think this is a fun subscription for people who give a lot of gifts or like finding unique papers they wouldn’t have found otherwise.

Which pattern of paper is your favorite this month? Would you use a gift wrap subscription?

So, I had to have some of the bohemian butterfly paper after reading this review. I went to the site, and found coupon code SUMMER5, but couldn’t find the terms, so I emailed the customer service late Saturday night (about 1 am), woke up Sunday, checked my email, and I had a reply waiting for me. I am pasting a copy of the email here to show how helpful and corteous Artistry Gift Wrap was, and because she explained the terms of the SUMMER5 code, as well as included 2 different coupon codes. I was very impressed!

“Thank you for your interest in Artistry Gift Wrap. The SUMMER5 coupon code only works on a one, three, or six month subscription plan. The bohemian rhapsody and critter papers are available until supplies run out. To purchase those use coupon code GZLS43Y9 for $5 off any $20 purchase. Don’t wait to long though because this coupon code will expire 7/31/14

To receive the July box, subscribe by July 15th. Use coupon code ADDICTED10 to save $10 off a 3 month subscription.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for contacting us!

Kind Regards,
Melissa

….and shipping from the shop is free! Can’t wait to see my paper in person. My mom makes greeting cards, and I think the Critter paper will be saved for that!

Weird, I don’t find the Papers Only option on their website. I’m having trouble with some of the navigation on the website (like Search), maybe it’s not suited to Chrome.

Linda – you’re right! I don’t see the “Papers Only” option anymore, either, and I tried in Chrome and IE… I will contact them and ask if they removed that option or if it’s just super well-hidden. I’ll keep you updated!

I just got an email back from them. The discontinued the paper only option 3 months ago. Bummer!

Oh, another one of my downfalls. I worked at Dayton’s gift wrap and love to wrap pretty presents…hmmm. Might just have to sign up for this, my presents would definitely be very unique!

I had been thinking a gift wrap subscription would be fun, I always like to keep stocked on gift wraps. But I almost never have weddings or baby showers any more so I’d hate to overstock on those if they send them too often. Maybe I’ll watch this one for awhile, to see if it’s generic enough. I think I’d get the Paper Only.

I would have the same concern, although at least w/ the baby shower and wedding wrapping paper here, it looks like the reverse side could be used for a more general occasion, at least. Makes it a bit more useful.

Linda, the first gift wrap subscription I got was full of very versatile paper, including some floral and bright colors for Easter. I think they try to do a lot with seasonal designs, and summer is a time with a lot of babies and weddings, I guess. I can’t say anything about what’s “normal” for them to include, but I’ve attached a photo of the paper from the first box I got from them. I think there’s a good chance they may not send out baby/wedding-specific things out too frequently. Hope this helps! =]

Thanks, HaleyFaye. I do like that assortment much better!

kiwimango

Yeah I think they should stick to generic papers, weddings & baby showers are few and far between nowadays.
