Love With Food Subscription Box Review & $10 Coupon - May 2014 Info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items selected for that month. This month’s theme is Derby Days.

Love With Food Subscription Box Review & $10 Coupon - May 2014 Granola

Giddy Up & Go Granola: Seriously Seedy – 1.5 oz pouch, value: $1.50

Tarallino Snack with Extra Virgin Olive Oil – 1.4 oz pouch, value: $1.25

I’m not usually a fan of seed-based snacks, but this granola actually has a great flavor, is chewy and has pieces of fruit in it! I actually really liked it. Also, it’s gluten-free, which is always a bonus for me.

These Tarallino snacks are kind of like small biscuit cracker – they taste somewhere between a breadstick and an oyster cracker. These were okay, but would probably be way better dipped in jelly or in a soup or something.

Love With Food Subscription Box Review & $10 Coupon - May 2014 Lime Cookies

Key Lime Cookies by J&M – 1.5 oz pouch, value: $2.15

Sea Salt Caramels by Le Caramel – 3 pieces, value: $1.08

Tropical Peach Drink Mix by Organic Flavorz – 1 Fl oz pack, value: $1.30

These key lime cookies had a great flavor, and I thought they were a really smart inclusion for the “Derby Days” theme! You get a handful of the cookies in each pouch, and the website recommends enjoying them with hot or cold coffees and teas, or topping ice cream with them.

Again, water flavor-enhancing products are not something I generally go for, but this Tropical Peach Drink Mix is all organic and you recognize everything on the label. I also loved that it guides you for how many ounces of water to add it to specify the strength of the flavor that you like. The only thing I didn’t like was the packaging; it’s a tear-open pouch so once you open it, you either have to use it all or you have to waste some of it. Also, I feel like most people adjust the amount of flavoring for the amount of their glass or water bottle, not measure the water for the right amount of flavor. The easiest fix would to make the packaging smarter and more convenient, like a squeeze-bottle.

Love With Food Subscription Box Review & $10 Coupon - May 2014 Chips

Revolution Teas in Honeybush Caramel, Southern Mint, and Tropical Green – One 3-pouch box, value: $.85

The Spice Lab Salts in Hickory Smoked Sea Salt and Italian Black Truffle Salt – 2 packets, value: $.31

Sweet Potato Chips by One Potato Two Potato - 2 oz bag, value: $2

I’m actually drinking this Southern Mint tea as I write this review and I have to say that I love it. The ingredients actually include items like real herbs and fruit pieces, and even essential oils. The tea infuser bags feel high quality, and so far the flavor is great. I can’t wait to try the other two!

If you’re a fan of sweet potatoes already, these chips are awesome for you. They’re really true to flavor and crunchy, and I especially like that they are Non-GMO.

Addtionally, Love With Food always includes coupons and discount codes for brands and products in their boxes. This month, they also announced their new points system, where you can get 50 points for making a Love With Food account by connecting with your facebook, points for referring friends, and one point for each product review. You can redeem points like cash towards purchases, which is my favorite kind of points system. Unfortunately, each point is only worth a cent, so unless you get a lot of points from friends signing up under you or something, it doesn’t seem like an extremely reasonable payoff.

The Verdict: I wasn’t exactly sure about what the “Derby Days” theme would even be like, but I thought the curation of this month’s Love With Food box was impressive, as usual. I like to point out in my Love With Food reviews that the goal of these boxes is more about a great curation that introduces you to brands and products you wouldn’t have tried before than giving you a high value of products in each box. I almost always find something each month that I love enough to purchase full-size, and this month the tea and granola were definitely my favorites!

What were your favorite items in your Love With Food Box this month?

What shipper does this company use? I would like to get this from my son but he can’t get reliable package delivery by anyone except UPS. Thanks!

I signed up for this two days ago and they gave me a choice of promo codes to use at other websites just for subscribing. How nice of them! I chose the $40 off a Hello Fresh sub because I’ve been wanting to try that anyway. I feel like I won a prize lol. It doesn’t expire until next month and I’m already subbing to Plated, but I will 100% use the discount. Thanks Love With Food and thanks Liz for pointing me in the right direction.

I just cancelled my Graze box-this one looks better to me. Looking forward to getting the first box. Graze box had good snacks but there is no way of ordering large sizes of the snacks you like.

We cancelled our Deluxe box this month because the value is just not there for us. I didn’t care for anything in this box and neither did my husband. Sad to drop this sub but, it was really missing the mark for us! 🙁
