Honest Company Mother’s Day Gift Set Review
The Honest Company recently launched a Limited Edition Mother’s Day Gift Set and as a lover of all things Honest Company, I immediately bought it for myself. (Don’t worry – I bought one for my mom as a Mother’s Day gift too!)
The good news about this box is that even though it’s called the Mother’s Day Gift Set – it doesn’t say Mother’s Day anywhere on it. It’s just wrapped up perfectly to gift for Mother’s Day or any other occasion!
The Cost: $49.95
The gift set comes in a very well-made wooden box (crafted from sustainable paulownia wood).
Organic Body Oil – Value $9.95
Aromatic Soy Candle in Lavender Vanilla – Value $19.95
I already knew that I loved both of these items, but I was excited to try the candle in this exclusive lavender vanilla scent! (If you haven’t tried the body oil before it’s a very lightweight oil and absorbs quickly – no greasy skin!)
Honest Lip Shimmer in Pomegranate – Value $6.95?
I’m guessing on the cost of this lip shimmer since it’s exclusive to this gift set – you can’t buy it from Honest.com. (I really hope the fact that they made lip shimmer even just for this box means that there will be Honest beauty items in the future!)
I like this lip shimmer a lot – it’s not really shimmery at all, but adds a nice hint of color and the pomegranate flavor is great too. It’s not super moisturizing (I’m a little obsessed with the Alima Pure Lip Tint right now, so nothing compares it’s moisturizing powers!)
Honest Sea Salt & Sugar Body Scrub – Value $15.95?
This is another exclusive item, so I’m again guessing on the value. I think this is my favorite product discovery in the box. They somehow crafted a scrub formula that meets all of my very specific tastes when it comes to body scrubs – the grains are fine, but not too fine, the oil leaves skin moisturized but not too oily, and the scent is very subtle and clean. I’m seriously considering buying more boxes so I can stock up on this scrub! (Hopefully they start carrying it in the Honest shop soon!)
The Honest Life – Value $22.95
I think The Honest Life is a great book, and makes this a great introduction gift set. And it’s just so cool that it is signed by Jessica Alba! (Maybe the value should be higher than $22.95?)
Verdict: I paid $50 for this box and received over $75 worth of Honest Company products – and that’s not including the value of the wooden box, which I will definitely use for storage! I’m very happy with the value and presentation of this box, and I plan on buying a few more for gifts!
