The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. All of their products are vegan (and they tend to be natural and healthy too!). They also typically include a nice mix of full size and sample beauty items.

The Subscription Box: Vegan Cuts Beauty Box

The Cost: $19.95

The Products: Each box contains a mix of 4-7 full and sample size cruelty-free beauty must-haves, ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare. All items are void of icky, toxic ingredients and animal by-products, so you can feel beautiful inside and out.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review - April 2014 Card

Each beauty box comes with a card detailing the items included for that month.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review - April 2014 Lip Gloss

Dazzle Dry Top Coat – .17 oz Value $4

Glam Natural Poco Loco Lip Gloss – FULL SIZE! Value $20

I like this lip gloss a lot – it’s great for a not-too-shiny look, and it’s not sticky at all. (This Dazzle Dry top coat is a 3-free vegan finishing polish that is supposed to give the look of a gel manicure – I’m excited to try it!)

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review - April 2014 Hair Care

Jane Carter Solution Curl Defining Cream – 1.5 oz Value $4

Jane Carter Solution Nourish & Shine For Dry Hair and Dry Skin – .5 oz Value $2.75

Orico Rush Hour Vibrant Dry Body Oil  – .5 oz Value $6

This body oil does actually dry very quickly, I love the scent, it’s 100% natural, and it gives my skin a nice subtle shimmer – I think this is my favorite discovery of the box! (I wish these Jane Carter Solution samples had been sealed though – they leaked a little in shipping).

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review - April 2014 Mask

Montagne Jeunesse Masks – Value $4 total

These masks seem to be showing up in a lot of subscription boxes lately! (This is the first one I’ve seen for men though).

Verdict: I paid $19.95 for this box and I received a little over $40 worth of vegan beauty products. While everything isn’t for me this month, the lip gloss is a win, and the body oil is a great new discovery. Hopefully the gel-like top coat will be another hit!

  1. Just got an email…. Vegan cuts has started a Just ” Dog Lover’s Box ” for $40. Before I get this new box I’m hoping for reviews. The April beauty box was first box and i canceld. I did not like the products and the value was not what I hoped for. If the value is at least double on this new box, I might subscribe.

  2. This was my first box and I also didn’t receive the Jane Carter Solution Curl Defining Cream and was disappointed in getting a man’s face mask, if I was interested in men’s products I’d look into getting them…there was only really one item that was full sized and that I liked (the lip gloss) I’m going to give it one more month and decide if I want to keep it.

    • This was also my first box. I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels this way. I did not get the defining cream either. I don’t use lip gloss. So I ended up canceling after the first month. The mens face mask was what really aggivated me enough to cancel. I did not think I was signing up for a male and female beauty box + I also don’t use masks. If anything I think for first boxes ( which either give a first good or first bad impression ) box companies should offer a little more incentive, even a 1st time extra product or sample. — Hope your next box is better –:)

  3. Were your items wrapped in the red bag as shown?

    • Yes – I subscribe to both the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box and Snack Box, so they ship them in the same box, and put the beauty items in a bag.

  4. I never received the “Jane Carter Solution Curl Defining Cream” in my box. I loved the smell of the Jane Carter Solution Nourish & Shine For Dry Hair and Dry Skin, even though the sample is so tiny. I tried it on my skin and it was great as a body butter. I liked it so much I bought the full size.

As far as the face masks. I don’t use masks, and I also did not expect a face mask for a man in the box, big irritation for me since this was my first box.

I’m not into lip gloss, and the dazzle dry I did not need. So the only product I liked was the tiny sample of Nourish & Shine. The oil was okay.

I ended up canceling my subscription, if the beauty boxes change not to include men’s products, and tiny samples, I might consider signing up again.
